Benro iFoto Series 1 overview

  • 1Description

The FIF19CIB0 Carbon Fiber Transfunctional iFoto Series 1 Tripod Kit from Benro is a 5-section tripod with reverse-folding carbon fiber legs that folds down to 13.7". Compact and comfortable to carry for short hikes and even long-distance traveling, this 3.1 lb tripod has a load capacity of 13.2 lb, which is more than suitable to support medium format cameras.

The tripod can reach a maximum height of 57.7" for those harder to reach angles or shots, and the legs have three varying angles of 23, 55, and 80°, which enables the tripod to go a minimum height of 13.8". A favorable feature of the tripod is the detachable leg, which becomes a monopod and can be taken to areas where tripods are not permitted or simply do not fit. An IB0 ball head, with a load capacity of 13.2", has been included as part of the kit.

    Benro iFoto Series 1 reviews

FIF19CIB0 Carbon Fiber Transfunctional iFoto Series 1 Tripod Kit is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a small spotting scope Ideal size for my Nikon ED50 spotting scope, or any similar 50mm scope for a nice travel/hiking scope option. The ball head is small and ideal for quickly aiming that size of scope, it's very easy to use and sturdy. This would also be good for a SLR with a not too heavy lens (best for consumer grade or shorter lenses). This brand/model does not accept those common Manfrotto attachment plates, so I need to see about getting an extra Benro one to keep on my camera. It's easy to detach the plate from the camera though, there's a screw with D ring so no tools needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiny little guy Really great build, Head is way too small for a full frame DSLR, ok for mirrorless or 4/3 but really tiny head. I switch it out for the bento Head that comes with the larger oTripod and it is great. Very compact for travel. Not super sturdy but with weight hook works as intended. Size is the major advantage, fits carryon roller no prob

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just In Time I purchased this unit as it was on SALE and was not exactly looking for a Tripod --- I have mount my existing S4 video head on to it for my Tamron 150-600mm zoom lens which is my walking lens ---- and it seems to be OK (can hold the weight) and mounting a much lighter one 400mm lens have no problem with so --- I am giving this a 3-star as I have not actually field tested it with the Tamron 150-600mm zoom lens which was heavier than my 400mm lens and requires at least a S4 to hold it up. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional feel to this tripod I have bought lower priced tripods and at critical moments them seem to fail. Immediately out of the box this felt different and has performed flawlessly when I have taken it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little heavier than I thought Great tripod. Stable and well engineered. Folds up nicely and fits in a smaller bag than my cheaper ones. It is a little heavier than I thought it would be but the compactness in my bag makes up for the weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fairly light, fairly sturdy, fairly priced... I could have a Ansel Adams station wagon full of tripods and all of them would be as weighty as the one we all see in our minds eye when we picture Mr. Adams on top of that station wagon ready to make another great image. The Benro carbon fiber tripod is my one exception. It is fairly light, sturdy enough to hold a Nikon D750 with a battery grip if it has to (although if I didn't mind the weight I'd rather use my 30 year old Bogan), and for a carbon fiber tripod it is well priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well done! I have a much bigger RRS tripod, but wanted a much more compact tripod for instances where I would otherwise not have taken a tripod with me. Well designed and manufactured. On the other hand, because of the 5 leg sections and two center-column sections, the weight is a tad high (1.143kg w/o the ballhead), despite being a carbon tripod. The carbon does a good job of absorbing vibrations and despite the very small diameter of the lower leg sections, is surprisingly stable. The tripod comes with 3 spikes to replace the rubber foot, but it's either / or. I much prefer foot where the rubber section can be removed to reveal the spike. But in a tripod at that price... The ballhead is quite well made and not too heavy. The baseplate on the tripod only accepts 3/8" components such as the ballhead.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well built......but What I liked - very small and easy to travel with. Also the ball head was rock solid. No sag with a 70-300 on a crop sensor, once I tightened it. Feels very well built. What I didn't like - Could not get the plate on the tripod head or off quickly for whatever reason. Also the head is very small, over half the size of my previous tripod. Knew I would miss out on images trying to get the camera on the tripod. Returned it.
