    SiliconDust HDHomeRun CONNECT DUO reviews

HDHomeRun CONNECT DUO is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product that works with little setup I already had an antenna so this took less than 5 minutes to set up. I connected the antenna, connected the network cable into my switch, and then downloaded the Channels app on my 4k apple tv. The app loaded and all my local channels where there. I thought I would at a minimum have to click a button to scan for channels but the HDHomerun must have automatically done that when it booted. The only thing that I did was upgrade the firmware by going to the IP address of the device on my network and clicking the Upgrade Firmware button. This was almost too easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy setup Setup was super easy. Screw in the Coax cable and plug in the power cable. I logged into the HDHomerun App and within seconds it had already performed a scan of local channels. Using this with PLEX dvr on my local server and it records very smoothly. The only issue I've noticed with the HD homerun app is during streaming live TV where scenes with lots of movement, like Olympic events, have a strobe affect where parts of the image go brighter and darker. This is not apparent in the Plex recordings and is minimized in streaming live through plex. It would be nice if the HDhomerun app allowed for streaming outside of local network but that's where Plex comes in!
