Capture broad shots of coral reefs, parrot fish, and shipwrecks at depths as great as 200' with the help of this Ikelite DLM 6" Dome Lens Port with Zoom Control. It fits onto Ikelite underwater camera housings with DLM mounts, and is compatible with many wide-angle, mirrorless lenses that have the appropriate zoom gears. For more compatibility information, see the list below and check out the DLM/A, DLM/B, and DLM/C port charts.
The dome shape corrects for the underwater size distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer, thereby helping to restore the original wide angle of view of the lens. The position of the front element allows for sharp images even at the widest focal length--without vignetting. With a 6" diameter, the dome is large enough to provide sufficient coverage for wide shots, yet small enough to keep the port at an easily manageable size and weight for convenient travel. Additionally, a convenient, knurled zoom knob on the side enables focal length adjustments as you compose and shoot.
To connect the port to the housing, just press it on and secure it via three thumbscrews. The American-made port has a front element made of clear, optical-grade acrylic, and a body made of durable Delrin acetyl plastic. A neoprene cover is supplied to shield the front of the port against dust, debris, and scratches when it's not in use. The included, removable shade blocks excess light to prevent glare, while also offering some protection against impact.
