Levenhuk 60876 overview

  • 1Description

Find out which celestial objects may be observed at your location with the Levenhuk M20 Large Planisphere. Consisting of a laminated star chart and rotating disk, simply align your current date and time to see what stars, binary stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies, select Messier objects, and constellations are overhead to see. Designed for 45° to 63° north latitude, the center point represents the North Pole, with Polaris (the Pole Star) next to it, so the rotation of the disk accurately follows the relative (apparent) rotation of the stars across the night sky. This is an ideal tool to learn basic celestial navigation, or for star gazing when cell service or Internet access is unavailable and apps won't work.

For reference, Seattle, WA is approximately 47° north latitude and Anchorage, AK is about 61° north latitude.
