If so, do I need to do anything else to make it work?
Yes it will fit. Yes it will work. But, You will need after market cooler for full potential. That's a H370 chipset on your motherboard, so you can't get any great memory speeds out of it. I used a Z370 chipset mobo and bumped this proc to 6C/[email protected]. 102.5 FSB & MCE.

question
In terms of upgrading my current 1151 board, do I need to do anything in terms of software to upgrade the chip?
You will want to register your Windows 10 key to your Microsoft account so that when you transfer motherboards it won't think that you have installed it twice. Search for reactivating windows 10 after a hardware change.
