    Levenhuk Vizor G2 reviews

Zeno Vizor G2 Magnifying Glasses is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Good Product for Specialized Applications I bought this magnifier for doing close-up work, especially in poorer lighting conditions. It is lightweight and seems well made, and the distance between the two eyepieces can be adjusted th match the distance between the user's eyes. Unfortunately, 20X is too much magnification for my needs, and it requires too short a working distance to the subject ( perhaps an inch or less). This is quite cumbersome and introduces a parallax in what the two eyepieces "see" (similar to that of rangefinder type cameras, when photographing subjects closer that 2-3 feet). I could find no adjustment to alter the focus distance, nor any way to adjust the eyepieces, so as to make their fields of view converge, on the same subject, making it impractical to use the two eyepieces simultaneously. Either eyepiece can be flipped up, to allow the other to be used individually, but this cancels the desirable capability of a binocular field of view. Each eyepiece has its own adjustable LED illumination, powered by supplied CR1620 Lithium batteries, which provides adequate, customizable illumination. Very convenient. This device is pretty specialized for use in precision work, like watch or jewelry repair (as described in the Overview). If it had less power, greater, adjustable working distance, and the ability to have the two fields of view converge, so both eyes can see the same subject, it could be a great choice for more general magnifying applications.
