Levenhuk's 740T Trinocular Microscope Kit includes a 740T trinocular microscope and a Levenhuk 5.1MP CMOS camera. This lab-grade 740T microscope is equipped with a Siedentopf interpupillary adjustment (54-75mm), four objectives, and two pairs of eyepieces (10x and 20x), which together can produce high-resolution images with low color distortion at magnifications of up to 2000x. For improved image clarity, detail, and brightness, the optics are made of achromatic glass. Users should take note that its 100x objective ought to be used with a special immersion oil (included) to achieve maximum resolution and to prevent driving the objective into your slide. A special feature of this device is a third vertical optical port that is reserved for use with the included digital CMOS camera or any compatible digital camera. It allows you to dedicate the two inclined eyepieces for viewing only, while simultaneously capturing your data with your camera attached to the vertical tube. The camera and the included imaging software allow you to capture images and videos in a variety of formats, save them on your PC, and adjust some of the more advanced imaging parameters such as white balance and exposure time. The software also provides compatibility with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
To complement optical performance, the scope offers matching mechanical features as well. Its square specimen stage provides full motion control in two dimensions via Vernier adjustments and a lockable slide bracket. You can obtain bright and high-contrast images using its 3W LED bottom-illumination system, a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser, and a filter wheel with three included filters (blue, yellow, and green), which can help with contrasting certain features or structures of your specimens. For obtaining precise image sharpness, the scope provides both a coarse and a fine focusing, adjustable using the coaxial knurled knobs.
