Designed for stage use, the RCF TT45-CXA is an active, high-output monitor capable of pushing 2200W RMS. It provides a frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz through its 2 x 10" speaker configuration, utilizing a three-way class-D amplifier to power the sound. It delivers a coverage area of 50x90° for those on stage. Though the unit was designed to be a floor monitor, it can also double as speakers for a PA system, as the TT45-CXA gives you a steel pole-mount for use in public-address scenarios.
32-bit floating-point DSP is on hand, operating at 48 kHz and handling aspects of the sound, including crossover and transducer alignment, programmable equalization curves, programmable output time delay, soft limiting, RMS current monitoring, and more. XLR jacks are provided for analog connections, though the unit also sports etherCON connections for RCF's RDNet control. If you wish to forego networking and controlling the unit from a centralized hub, you can use the rear-panel rotary encoder to change various functions on the speaker.
The cabinet itself is constructed from Baltic birch plywood, with special glue employed to ensure water resistance. To withstand the rigors of the road, the internal structure of the cabinet has been heavily braced, with large metal brackets reinforcing the cabinet throughout. The amplifier and transducers reside in different chambers to bolster stability and efficiency. Three handles are onboard to facilitate transportation.
