Think Tank Photo Spectral 15 reviews

Spectral 15 Camera Shoulder Bag (Black) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from I returned it. A D850 is not a good fit for this bag. No real padding for protection. While you could squeeze it in side ways, the bag was bulging. I got the portabrace CAR-D850 instead and both my cameras fit well and it has great padding. If you camera is smaller or you are not worried about padding this could be your bag. There are some cool features.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Mixed Bag This appears to be Think Tanks' economy bag. It's lightly padded and has a reasonable assortment of pockets and slots, etc. I bought it because it would hold a Nikon D750 with a Nikon 200-500 lens mounted (held horizontally), plus a wide angle lens, a few cleaning accessories and rain cover below. Unfortunately, the only flap closure is the Fidlock on the front, and it's inadequate. When lifting the loaded bag by the conveniently placed grab handle on the flap top, the Fidlock stud carries too much load, and mine pulled free within a week. Fortunately Think Tank made good on the warranty, and I added two straps keep things closed. The 3-bar buckles on the shoulder strap are a poor choice too - they slip. Again, not too hard a fix, but ought to be unnecessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is exactly as marketed If you see the video, it is exactly as expected. My only complaint is the material on the main flap is a little bit scuffable compared to the Think Tank quality that I have come to expect. Mine had a faded scuff on the front of it when I got it. No big deal. I bought it so it would compliment my Think Tank Roller bags as a personal item for flights. It is perfect value for your money and the ideal personal item carry on bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag Needed a smaller bag for quick trips and this one was perfect. It's well made for the price and holds my gear with no problem. The latch does not connect as easily as they say but not an issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and Bad (Design Flaw) I purchased this camera bag for several reasons; -I travel abroad and it fits my daily camera gear securely. I like that it has two inner zippers under the main flap to secure the main camera compartment and accessories. This helps keep the pickpocketers out as well as other elements. -Accommodates Laptop 15" (Wish I stuck with my 13" Laptop) -Dual Side Slip-In Pockets (good for quick access to pad and paper, ect..) -Padded Interior Dividers & Inner Pockets ( The base is a little thin/lightweight. Could use some added durability. I added additional padding to the inner base to protect my lenses and camera. -Waterproof Tarpaulin Base & Rain Cover (This is what sold me on the bag. I needed something I could access on the fly and still have the option to protect my gear in a sudden down pour. -DESIGN FLAW, Magnetic Fidlock Clasp Flap Closure, I have to be frank, this system sucks and is difficult to latch quickly. I've had the bag two weeks and still don't have it down. I have to lay the bag on its side and look to latch it. Also within the first two days the upper clasp popped off. I prefer the strap buckle. Easy to replace if in a jam. Now I'm down to one. I'm traveling abroad and have no way of returning the item. I'll see how it holds up through three months of travel.
