Rode VXLR+ Overview

The Rode VXLR+ is an adapter that lets you connect a mic equipped with a 3.5mm TRS connector to the XLR input of a professional camera, recorder, or mixer.

The VXLR+ also converts 12-48V phantom power down to 3-5V plug-in power, allowing lavalier, headset and shotgun mics to receive power from the XLR connector.

Compact and lightweight, the adapter is terminated by a 3.5mm female TRS connector at one end and an XLR male connector at the other. The 3.5mm connector is threaded to ensure your mic doesn't disconnect during recording.

is this needed for zoom h6 and rode wireless go?

is this needed for zoom h6 and rode wireless go?
Asked by: Michael
They will work yes. I use them for my h6 and rode wireless go. These are nice because they reduce the phantom power to only a few volts in the event you want to use other devices that require mic power. I know they sell XLR to TRS adapters that are cheaper without the transformer. But I was planning on using the h6 with some lapel mics as well as other devices that require lower voltages. So I wanted to protect them in case I accidentally leave the phantom power of the H6 on 48 volts this will drop it down to the 2-5 volts the lapels need. With other devices I put the H6 on 12v phantom power and this converter to use with other devices. Note if you have the Rode receiver puck very close to this transformer or the H6 inputs you may experince some noise. Just move the receiver away a few inches.

From what I see on Rode's site, this does not come with any belt clip. For an adapter that does, I would recommend the Deity #DEDXLR, which also does the same job.

Haven’t tested that, but it should work with any XLR input. Works great on my Zoom H6N. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work on your FS7!
