Built to last, the housing is made from a hard plastic, which is clear to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The surface features a hard coating for extra durability and an anti-reflection coating to reduce glare for improved visibility. The built-in dome port covers the lens and corrects for the underwater size distortion that makes everything appear 25% larger and closer, thereby helping to restore the camera's original angle of view to give you greater coverage. Additionally, a convenient carrying case and strap are included with the housing.

What size is the tripod screw mount? The theta has a smaller-than-standard size, so I would like to know if the waterproof case is the smaller Theta size or the standard tripod size.
Asked by: nevil
We bought this housing and it fits fine on a standard tripod mount. Our Thetas (V and S) both also fit fine on a standard tripod mount.

question

Will this fit the gea 360 (2017 version) also, why is the case more expensive than the camera?
Asked by: Kevin T.
It's not for the Samsung Gear 360, it's for the Ricoh Theta versions V, S or C. The case has buttons on the outside that line up with the camera buttons & the Gear's buttons are in different places. It's a fair price for an underwater housing; the question should be: why is the camera so inexpensive? Answer: competition. You can reduce the case cost by buying the camera/case package: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1377528-REG/ricoh_theta_v_kit_with.html
