    Teac TN-400S-B reviews

TN-400S Belt-Drive Turntable with Phono Amplifier and USB (Gloss Black) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality and Solid Value I am just now beginning to re-appreciate my vinyl collection. Having found an amp and pre-amp (Emotiva) that would drive my massive Polk SRS speakers, it was time to upgrade the turntable. After extensive research the choice was between the ProJect Debut Carbon and the TN-400S. As I wanted maximum flexibility I went with the TN-400S based on its included pre-amp.....as I still have vinyl to digitize. Dropping the needle the first time told me I made a good choice as the sound stage opened and I realized the full potential of my 30+ year old speakers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Issues We purchased this turntable based on the positive reviews and brand reputation. After setting up the turntable we were unable to get sound from the left speaker. We determined that the left output connection on the turntable was at fault and after speaking with B&H, we returned the unit in exchange for a new one. We were stunned to find that the new turntable had the exact same problem! Since this appears to be a much wider issue, we returned the unit for a refund and ordered the Audio-Technica AT-LP-120. We LOVE this turntable. We're actually glad the TEAC didn't work out as the Audio-Technica is superior in every way AND it is less expensive. We should point out that we were very pleased with the service we received from B&H -- the quality issue resides solely with TEAC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Turntable Can't go wrong for the price- great turntable with amazing sound and design. Easy to set-up. Ensure to watch turn table set up instructions on youtube. I bought a cartridge alignment mirror as well as a stylus scale and a level for proper set up (30$). I wish the feed would have been adjustable on the turn table in order to set up the perfect level. All in all very happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid sound I read a lot of reviews before getting this one - which I did because the built in pre-amp works with my Sonos Play:5. Looked at ProJect carbon fiber as well and went with the Teac. It's unbelievable how clean it sounds, and how much audio technology has improved since using my old Toshiba turntable back in the 80's.
