Axis Communications XP40-Q1942 overview

  • 1Description

The XP40-Q1942 Explosion-Protected Pan/Tilt Outdoor Thermal Network Bullet Camera from Axis Communications is equipped with an uncooled microbolometer image sensor to capture 640 x 480 resolution video at up to 8.3 fps that is scalable to up to 800 x 600 resolution. The 19mm fixed lens has a 32° horizontal field of view. Additionally, this device delivers 360° endless panning, and a ±90° tilting range. A 64GB AXIS Surveillance microSDXC card is included for edge storage.

Axis Zipstream technology compresses video footage in H.264, reducing bandwidth usage and storage requirements. In addition, video can be transmitted in at least three H.264 and MJPEG streams, and bandwidth and frame rates are controllable for further customization of your network. Once configured, your surveillance network is secured with safety features that include password protection, IP address filtering, HTTPS encryption, digest authentication, user access logging, and centralized certificate management.

This device is ONVIF-compliant for Profiles S and G, making it compatible with a wide range of surveillance devices. The camera's stainless steel (SAE 316L) housing is certified for hazardous areas, and prevents inside sparks from escaping to ignite gases or dust in the surrounding air. The stainless steel housing is IP67-rated, making it suitable for outdoor use.
