Sure I'd love some swanky strobes but at this stage I'd love to spend more on glass and have strobes that just work. Very happy with the operation of this with my Yongnuo speedlites.

I have 4 YN560II. Would I still have the ability to adjust these flashes w/ the RF 605, or do I need to replace them with the YN 560 III or IV?
As per the manufacturer, this transmitter is not compatible with the YN560 II flash.

Can i use this with film cameras? If not! Any suggestions?
I don't see any reason that you couldn't. I love this thing. It really is handy when using multiple remote Yongnuo flashes.

question
Can it be used on Nikon cameras?
Yes, the Yongnuo YN560-TX II Manual Flash Controller for Canon Cameras would be compatible for use on Nikon cameras. However, do note that this transmitter will not have the flash wake-up feature to awaken off-camera Yongnuo flashes as the hot shoe pin setup for communication on the Nikon hot shoe differs from the pin alignment of the Canon transmitter. However, as the main central SYNC pin is the same on all standard ISO hot shoes, the Yongnuo YN560-TX II Manual Flash Controller for Canon Cameras may be used with any camera that has a standard ISO hot shoe, but will only wake up off-camera wireless flashes when connected to a Canon EOS camera.

Would this work with old Metz+Yongnuo receiver?
I'd be concerned that it wouldn't communicate with the Metz brand receiver.
I'm going to guess that this transmitter is dedicated towards the Yongnuo YN560-TX
model flash units only?
