  • 1Description

The 27" Pavilion 27-a230 Multi-Touch All-in-One Desktop from HP is a slim and sleek all-in-one PC that is suitable for both home and office use. Its 27" WLED-backlit IPS display features 10-point edge-to-edge multi-touch functionality, allowing you to utilize the touch gestures and functions in Windows 10 to further improve accessibility and productivity. Furthermore, driven by integrated Intel HD Graphics 630, the screen has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution that delivers crisp and clear pictures. An HDMI port on the back of the system provides you the option to connect an additional display.

This system is powered by a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5-7400T Quad-Core processor and 12GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM that allows you to efficiently multitask as well as quickly access frequently used files and programs. If you require more processing power, the CPU can be adjusted to 3.0 GHz using Intel's Turbo Boost technology. For storage, it has a large 1TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive for all your data and media content. Should you need more, you can connect external storage options, keyboards, mice, and more via its one USB 3.0 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Additionally, you can also take advantage of the SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader to expand your storage as well as transfer data between your mobile devices. If you're looking to expand your system internally, there are two M.2 slots, one of which is available.

Connect to the Internet via 802.11ac Dual-Band Wi-Fi or the Gigabit Ethernet jack for a more stable and reliable wired connection. Other integrated features include a 720p webcam, dual integrated microphones, dual speakers, a 3.5mm microphone and headphone combo jack, and an ultra-thin SuperMulti DVD Burner. Once set up, you can tilt the screen to your viewing preference at angles from 0° forward to 25° back. For additional convenience right out of the box, the Pavilion 27-a230 comes with a wireless keyboard and wireless optical mouse. The operating system installed in this computer is Windows 10 Home (64-bit).

Windows 10 Home (64-bit)

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    HP Pavilion 27-a230 reviews

    27" Pavilion 27-a230 Multi-Touch All-in-One Desktop is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I can finally see the screen easier. It's a great computer. Takes a little getting used to. Everything is MUCH faster than my own computer. The down side: The one USB port on the bottom of the monitor is fairly easy to get to if you use a mirror. Getting to the USB and other ports in the back is a little difficult because the unit is heavy and (in a smaller space) difficult to maneuver. The HP computers at work are flexible because you can turn the screen and raise and lower it without moving the base. This one has no flexibility. The mouse seems to be a little sharp on the edges, and if you have anything near it, you can possibly change whatever is on the screen. Other than the weight and slot inconveniences, it works great. It's fast and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-in-one desktop computer HP shipped the computer very fast and we received it much earlier than expected, which was fantastic. The set-up was so easy and quick. This all-in-one computer is so much better than our old desktop because it has very few wires, it is so quiet, and super fast. The kids really love the touch screen capability and the 27 inch screen is amazing. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend this product as well as all HP products due to the great quality. We have now converted to basically all HP technology in the house with 4 HP laptops, 2 HP printers, and this desktop for the entire family. Thanks HP!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from All-in-One: Be careful! The All-in-One is different. Time will tell if I have made a mistake. Because it has no "tower", I have been able to eliminate the computer desk that I originally set up. But, I needed to re-arrange the working position due to the size of the monitor, which I have determined to be too big, so that I can push it back further away from my view. I replaced the keyboard because it was too small and the mouse because it was too big and cramped my hand. Using the Logitech keyboard and mouse has been much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I bought this a few weeks ago and so far - so good. It's nice not having the PC on the floor and trying to connect cables around the desk and up the back to the monitor, printer, etc. The build quality seems pretty good and I feel like this was a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic machine... I'm so happy that I chose this model! It's elegant, extremely well designed, fast and efficient. 100 % A+! The only thing I changed was an upgraded wireless keyboard/mouse combo, but that's no big deal. For a PC user, I don't think there's anything better!!!
