Porta Brace RS-C200 reviews

Rain Cover for Canon C200 Camera is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Perplexing Recently, on a crowded and rainy press riser I took a quick poll of the other camera operators to see if anyone could figure out how to attach my rain slicker to my camera. Nobody came close and I had to look at the b/h product page for clues. I had bought the item months before and only grabbed it on the way out the door to a shoot with a forecast of rain. Nobody could quite guess what the designers were thinking - my guess is that they went on a weeklong acid bender in the fabric room at Porta Brace and when their supervisors found them they tried to pass off their demented creation as a viable product. The product does not appear to have been created by someone familiar with the C200 - perhaps the designers weren't familiar with cameras in general, or even rain. The worst part by far is the top assembly which is clearly designed for a C300 clamshell setup that doesn't translate well to the C200. It lets water in the top and serves no useful purpose on this particular model camera. It catches the wind, unbalances the whole affair and makes it harder to keep (what I think is) the lens opening on the lens. I'm going back to gripping a $10 umbrella to the top handle and praying the gusts don't carry the whole thing away. I'm taking the "Porta Brace Rain Cover for Canon C200 Camera" to the taxidermist - I think it will be more useful mounted and stuffed than in my gear bag.
