I couldn't find one anywhere! I found a dummy battery in china for about $20. I used it with V-Mount adapter. So far it works great.

I tested this camera in the field for some weeks and when I got back, surprise - the video noise is very high, especially the colour noise. Even at 0dB when you apply corrections in the post the images look ugly. Compared to X70 it is very noisy. I used a customised picture profile (Vortex Media), not Slog, but I really don't know why this noise. I miss the old X70. I started a documentary project with X70 and it looks much much better on that camera (with colour corrections applied). Please help... does anyone know why this happens? And if this can be corrected?
Asked by: Vlad
If you are getting high nose even in well-lit conditions, I suggest having the camera checked out by Sony.

I'm looking for a 4K video camera with both HDMI & SDI video outputs, as well as XLR audio inputs... which led me to this product. My question is how much background blur this aperture/sensor ratio can produce, and whether a different camera, also meeting the above criteria, might produce better background blur? For example, I read that the aperture is f2.8 when the zoom is set to all the way wide -- but to what focal length would that correspond in full frame mirrorless terms? Thanks in advance!

The amount of depth of field depends on the focal length, aperture, the distance of your subject in focus to the camera's sensor, and the distance of your subject to the background. Decreasing the aperture and distance between the camera and subject in focus will increase your depth of field. Increasing the focal length and distance between the subject in focus to the background will also produce more background blur. B&H lists a 35mm equivalent focal length, on the specifications tab on each camera (any camera that is not full-frame). For the Sony PXW-Z90V, the 35mm equivalent focal length is 29mm and zooms 48 times (29-1392mm).
