The Light Cannon is a focusable LED Fresnel with a 5600K color temperature and a high CRI/TLCI rating of 97+, indicating an accurate rendering of color. The light comes with a glass lens that allows it to adjust the beam angle from 60 to 160-degree flood for wide coverage, while removing the lens allows a spot range of 20-50 degrees for selective lighting. The light output can be dimmed and further controlled with the included removable barndoors. Like all LEDs, the Pocket Cannon produces negligible heat. The rugged aluminum body's heat sink allows it to run dead silent - a valuable asset for sound-sensitive situations. LEDs are also known for power efficiency and the Pocket Cannon consumes just 30 watts of power while outputting the tungsten equivalent of a 400-500W traditional fixture.

Besides its many attributes, the versatile Pocket Cannon offers multiple power options. Its 100-240 VAC adapter makes it ready for worldwide use but it can also run on batteries when mains current is unavailable.

Focusable
The Pocket Cannon is focusable from 60-160 degrees for wide coverage via a simple knob. When the included glass lens is attached, the unit can focus from a 20-50 degree spot for selective lighting.
Passive Cooling
The Pocket Cannon is fanless, making it completely silent. The light is cooled via the built-in heat sink.
Metal Adjustable Frame
The metal body housing is made using strong, lightweight aluminum made for years of use in a professional environment. Both the handle and yoke can be removed by hand for increased portability and different mounting options.
Variety of Power Options
Power the light via AC or DC out of the box. Each Pocket Cannon includes a universal 100-240 VAC adapter, V-Mount battery plate with an NP-F adapter or a Gold Mount battery plate with a V-Mount adapter plate.
External Dimmer and Battery Plate System
The Pocket Cannon has an external controller allowing the user to change dimming levels or swap batteries without taking the light down from a stand. The external controller also provides a lower center of gravity when mounted below the light. Alternatively, you can mount the controller on the light's yoke.
High Output and CRI
Whether shooting in spot or flood mode, the Pocket Cannon provides a high level of output for such a small, portable fixture. To help increase the output, the light is fitted with a thick glass lens, greatly amplifying the light. Both the Tungsten and Daylight Pocket Cannons produce a CRI/TLCI of 97+, and slow-motion shooting is no problem. This LED series is flicker-free and tested at 3,000 fps.
Basic Kit
All Pocket Cannons include an external controller, battery plate and adapter, barndoors, AC adapter, and a molded carrying case to hold everything included in the kit.
Accessory Kit
The basic kit is enhanced by the included Accessory Kit. The kit includes a Snoot, Honeycomb Grid, Light Globe, Softbox, Orange, Yellow, Blue, and Diffused filters.

I have waited a long time for this

I have been wanting to add a Fresnell to my extensive LED light kit. Finally this appeared, good reviews and a metal casing. It powered up instantly and the spot on the wall showed me what I have been waiting for. There are a lot of applications for this kind of lamp with large reflectors and translucent scrims. With the lens on it throws a tightly controlled beam into my Photoflex ovals vastly expanding what I am now capable of. I am familiar with the power supply. When I first encountered it on Genaray LED lamps I considered it bulky as I have seen mentioned in other reviews. That problem is solved with the 26' extension cord. It is a unique 5 pin cable. BUY IT. It puts that bulky power supply on the ground, 26' away from the lamp. The power supply is an excellent dimmer, having it 26' from the lamp makes control of the lamp intensity easy. For me, in a studio, it does not get any better at this price point. Then there is the other advantage to getting the power supply where you can reach it. You can change batteries or better yet, switch to AC power and plug in the transformer. I have not tried the Sony Battery adapter to V Mount. It is interesting, but I find that the 98W V mounts last all day on LED lamps so my bag full of Sony batteries is reserved for my older lamps.

This is a well made light and capable when used with Digital West Imaging high speed cameras from AOS. Illumination is comparable to Lowell PRO light (discontinued 250w tungsten source). Down side is the size of the battery/AC supply. Reminiscent of some HDMI supplies designed to hang on your stand. A bit clunky but gets the job done.

You get what you pay for. So don't expect anything too fancy. But what you get for the price is excellent. Solid build quality and a bright source. The light quality is pretty good, it has the tiniest amount of green but nothing to worry about. The only complaint I have is all the cables going from the light to the ballast to the power converter. But definitely a steal.

Great hair light, catch light, or pepper

If you need a small spot for hair lights, catch lights, or to light a tight space, I don't see how you could do better than this little light. It's not a true Fresnel -- it's a convex-lens spotlight -- but you can still use it for anything you'd use a Fresnel of this size and power for. Pros: Gives off good, bright, high-CRI light with good throw. Very well-built. Metal construction. Anamorphic barn doors. Fantastic at the price point. Cons: Dimming range isn't huge. The barn doors don't truly spin. The power/battery pack and ballast rigging is awkward. Overall, a good purchase. I will add more of these to my kit.

This was my first time ordering an Intellytech brand. I am extremely happy with this LED light. It is well built and it feels expensive. They manage to have a budget friendly LED light that is portable and good quality. I just bought the mini pocket canon from them.

This light is small but still packs a punch. It can mimic some practicals really well like a small flood light/picture light. I purchased the snoot with it and it's great. It comes 2 honeycomb adapters so you really have 3 light pattern options with it.

The AC power adapter attaches via velcro strap, rubber on one side. Def not confidence-inspiring, but there was no slippage on set. I would've rather the unit itself be an inch larger with power built-in. But it works great and is a snap to adjust angle. I used it for fill and back light in a dark room. The case is a nice touch.

No Manual? What does I and II do for power switches? Only one of them turns the light on for me, and not very bright.

The Intellytech Pocket Cannon Daylight Focusable LED Fresnel Kit (V-Mount / NP-F) has a two-way rocker power switch. The "I" setting on the power switch is designed for usage when you are using DC battery power, either via a V-mount battery or two (2) Sony NP-F style batteries. The "II" setting on the power switch is designed for usage when you are using household AC power via the included AC adapter and wall plug. You may control the output (brightness) of the light fixture using the dimmer knob on the control unit.
