Auray Foam Windscreen for 1/4" Diameter Microphones (3-Pack)

The Auray WLF Series Foam Windscreen (3-Pack) is designed to reduce unwanted vocal pops and broadband wind noise with minimal high frequency loss.

This WLF-014-3 Foam Windscreen is designed for use with headset and lavalier mics with a 1/4" diameter. The density of the specialty acoustic foam is optimized to help protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound.

Whether used on headset or lavalier microphones, these windscreens are effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds. They are most effective in calm to light breeze conditions (0 to 7 mph) and can be used indoors for protection against drafts caused by air conditioners. Users can generally expect a notable reduction in wind noise with very slight dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, this is a worthwhile exchange.

The WLF-014-3's foam is hypoallergenic and helps prevent moisture and dirt from damaging your microphone. The windscreens are designed to fit microphones from Audio-Technica, Audix, Beyerdynamic, Electro-Voice, Shure, and others.

The WLF-014-3 Foam Windscreens for 1/4" diameter microphones are an effective solution for basic wind protection.

Can I use an XLR output to directly record onto my camera ?
Asked by: IAMRAMIZZZ
Not directly; most cameras (other than professional camcorders) have a mic input on a 3.5mm connector, this connection allows for microphone levels only, therefore, in addition to the proper 3.5mm connector to the camera, it would require a level matching devices, such as B&H #: SESIL50DB

Can you tell me who makes a tan electret that works with this system? From the first review I know there is at least one?
Asked by: Gary
The transmitters in the VocoPro UDH-Play system have a 3-pin mini-XLR (TA3) connector, so most lavalier or headset mics for wireless transmitters that are equipped with a TA3F connector will work. Galaxy Audio's ESM3 Single-Ear Headset Mic (B&H# GAES3OBG4MXD) and HSM3 Dual-Ear Headset Mic (B&H# GAHS3OBG4MXD) are both beige colored electret condenser style mics that will work. The mics both include four cables with different connectors, including TA3, that enable compatibility with most popular wireless mic systems. Samson's SE10T Earset Mic (B&H# SASE10T) is also beige and includes the same set of four connectors, including TA3. The Samson DE10 Omnidirectional Headset Mic (B&H# SASWZDE10) has a hardwired TA3F connector that is compatible with the VocoPro transmitter.

What do I need to record the voices from the equipment?
Asked by: Jim
This 8-channel wireless mic system is usually connected to a mixing board, where you could take a line out and record on to a digital audio recorder, such as the Zoom H4n Pro 4-Input / 4-Track Portable Handy Recorder with Onboard X/Y Mic Capsule, BH #ZOH4NPRO. .

There are 8 channels, does this mean my PA system needs 8 channel input for the XLR cable?
Asked by: Aaron
For individual gain control on your mixing board, you would need eight XLR mic preamp's, but the system also has four 4 1/4-inch outputs. In this scenerio, you would need four 1/4-inch input's on your board, which would give you a mix of two mic's each.
