Designed for Windows Mixed Reality, the Lenovo Explorer Mixed Reality Headset was engineered to be a natural extension of your computer.

Compatible with a variety of laptops and desktop computers that meet the requirements of Windows Mixed Reality, the Lenovo Explorer headset allows you to watch shows in a virtual environment, play virtual reality games, travel the world through holo-tours, watch immersive 3D, 360°, and 4K videos, browse websites, or simply get some work done in the Microsoft Office suite.

With the Lenovo Explorer Mixed Reality Headset, you have several different options for controlling your computer. You can use the optional Motion Controllers for natural, fine-tuned interactions using Bluetooth wireless technology. You can also use a Microsoft Xbox controller or the classic keyboard and mouse combo. There is also an option to use Cortana Voice for a more hands-free approach.

The Lenovo Explorer Mixed Reality Headset has dual 2.89" LCD displays, each with a 1440 x 1440 resolution, for a total resolution of 2880 x 1440. It has a field of view of 110°. It has a built-in 13.1' Y-cable that has a USB 3.0 and an HDMI 2.0 connector that you use to connect to your computer. You'll be able to move around in an area of up to 11.5 x 11.5 feet, without any additional external sensors. Please note that the Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update is required.

The Lenovo Explorer bundle is a Windows 10 Mixed Media VR headset and needs a modern PC to operate, please check with the hardware manufacturer (dji Mavic Air FPV) for compatibility. This will be in their "minimum system requirements".

Would this work with steam VR? If I were to buy another brand controller and pair it to my pc as well as the headset, would it work? In P terms, (240p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4k) what resolution is the headset? I do not understand 2880 x 1440.

Works with SteamVR as others have stated. You will need to download an additional app off the Steam Store called Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR. I think you only need to run it once.

Windows mixed reality controllers of any brand (i.e. lenovo, asus, dell etc.) work with the lenovo explorer headset.You need to buy a bluetooth 4.0 dongle to connect them to your pc, if your pc hasnt built in bluetooth.Motion controllers from other VR systems like Oculus Rift and Steam VR (HTC Vive) do NOT work, or only work with some heavy tinkering, for example you can make the Vive controllers work, but for that you need a vive headset connected to the pc...
