    Lenovo Explorer Reviews

Explorer Mixed Reality Headset (Iron Gray) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and easy to setup I already own a HTC Vive, but this headset looked interesting because it uses inside-out tracking, meaning you can use it anywhere without having to install lighthouses around your room. In practice this system works very well. Also, for the price I paid, $100, it was well worth it. If you application or game does not require VR controllers you can use this headset right out of the box. Steam games are supported through the Windows Mixed Reality app in the Steam store. Compared to my Vive I notice that text is sharper and easier to read. The headset is very lightweight. Only cons are the fitment is not as snug against the face, allowing outside light to leak in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value, very satisfied I bought the headset without wands for $100 to use with Iracing. I've used the HTC Vive previously. This is better. Less screen door effect. I had to go thru Steam to connect with Iracing, but it has since worked like a charm. Very much improved my Iracing experience. I highly recommend it. The minor negatives I had read about... audio connection too close to the ear, small sweet spot for the clearest vision, and that the headset tightening mechanism was fragile have been non-issues. Those things could be improved but they don't matter much in my experience. My computer is a Dell with an I5 processor. That has been plenty of computing power. BH has been a fine vendor. I would buy from them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from well invested money I made use of Lenovo Eplorer to play fitness game like beat saber and racket vr. Those tow game are fun and help me to move a little. Those glasses are light, easy to setup and well made. You must have a good graphic card to run Windows MR, on-board gpu like intel Iris 580 doesnt support it. GTX 1050 and RX 480 are at entry level for VR. I was also lucky to found controller separately sell on ebay, they are pretty rare. If you plan to play vr game, you must consider buying the kit whit included controller. The buying experience here is very nice, delivery (UPS) is fast. I will definitely get a look for new deal at BH.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Price/Value As VR stands today, in the early stages, this is a great product for the sale price. It's right in line with video quality compared to most other offerings it tracks well and is reasonably comfortable. If you are on the fence about VR then this set is the answer. Personally speaking on my view of things, VR is not worth the normal asking price of $400-1000 in my thinking, but the price of this set is more in line for what you get with VR. ( SDE and poor resolution, etc.) I got this for sim racing and not having motion controllers is not an issue for that, an Xbox 360 controller will work but don't cover all the VR games that need a controller. All I can say is at this price point I'm not upset with myself for the purchase, the headset works fine and I'm happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great entry-level VR headset Amazing price for those looking to try out VR. I use mine for sim racing with a separate steering wheel, so the motion controllers arent needed. Its great that they offer a package thats the headset alone. Setup is super easy, theres basically zero screen-door effect and it tracks my head motion really well. Downsides: The lenses are smaller than what you get on the HTC Vive, and you cant adjust the distance between them. So if your head is smaller or larger than average, this might not work for you. And the headset puts out a bit of heat, so using it for more than about an hour can get quite warm. If youre looking for a direct competitor to the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, this probably isnt it. But if youre wanting to try out VR, you cannot beat this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value It looks like Windows mixed reality gear is in fire sale mode with its various manufacturers. This is extremely good value at this price and if your system passes the system requirements PC check you will be up and running very quickly. Microsoft has enabled these headsets to connect and play Steam VR apps which is the motherload of games and content for the Vive and Rift .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Met all expectations Delivered quickly (DHL Express). Was able to track package during whole transit from USA to Australia. Product was packed well and box arrived in great condition . I purchased at a large discount which resulted in extremely great value. Easy to setup (I use only in DCS World) and I use it daily. No issues with product after two weeks of use.
