Cannon rep said that the G1X Mark111 would take a 37mm filter. This size was determined by inscription in lens cap. How would the hood fit as described?
This hood fits into the 37mm filter thread on the G1X Mark III. If you already have a filter on the camera, the filter would need to have front threads in order for the hood to attach.

The LH-DC110 does accept 49mm filters on the inner thread of hood where you attach snap in lens cap. The best solution for a lens cap using the LH-DC110 hood is actually to locate used 60mm Front Lens Cap Canon - Slip On Version.
