The 1TB Purple 5400 rpm SATA III 3.5" Internal Surveillance Hard Drive from WD is designed to withstand the stresses placed on it in a 24/7, always-on, high-definition surveillance system with 16 drive bays. With support for up to 64 high-definition surveillance cameras, this 1TB hard drive can hold a large amount of data and gives you the ability to easily upgrade and expand your security system. Furthermore, AllFrame 4K technology helps improve video capturing and reduces errors, pixilation, and video interruptions that could happen in a video recorder system.

A SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, sustained data transfer speeds of up to 110 MB/s, and a 64MB cache all help to ensure uninterrupted data transfers. Furthermore, the drive's 300,000 load/unload cycles, annualized workload rating of 180TB per year, MTBF rating of 1 million hours, and <1 in 1014 non-recoverable read errors per bit read also help to ensure a strong operational life.

I have about 30 of these drives in the field (or varying capacities) with zero failures. I would recommend these over the Seagate SkyHawk drives.

I have a ZOSI dvr for 8 channel. Can this work to record video from them

Hi I agree with both other comments. Yes a 4TB is better than the 1 TB. It also depends on how much recording time you want. 2TB with 24 hour recording you should get 2 weeks or more. If that what you require The cameras and recorder you have is analog so it wont use a lot of space. Like others had said your DVR does have a max size allowed for the DVR so you should check its max size and yes its pretty much plug and play. Dont forget to format the HDD. The GUI in HDD will have that option.
