Netgear XS508M-100NAS Reviews

Extremely slow speeds

Trying to connect my NAS to multiple computers using this switch and I can't get any speeds over 2.6 MB/s. This is unusable, I can't open any photoshop files using this switch. The problem was intermittent at first, then after about 6 months it became worse. I was able to contact Netgear and they exchanged it with the same model and I'm still having the same issue. Since this was purchased awhile ago, I can't return and get a refund. Now I have to buy a new switch and eat the cost of this switch. DO NOT BUY!

Works great, don't forget to cover the key hole in the back when switching it on

Works great with the 740 AP's to deliver really fast 2.5Gb WiFi. I am happy, so is my customers

Good switch

The switch works great at 10 gb/sec speed, just be sure that the 5th serial number is not 7, as there were problems with these units using jumbo frames @ 10 gb/sec.

No need to configure anything just plug and play. No guess work, no worry. Even bought a second one in three days to finish my home office 10G network project.

Fast Switch, No Thinking, Just Using

I'm building a home lab and learning about networking. I'm probably at the point where a managed switch would be fun. I'm looking forward to making some VLANs, but until then, this was a easy - just a plug-and-play setup. Works great for a 10Gbe setup between Sonet Solo, this switch, and a 10Gbe Synology NAS.
