  • AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens

A versatile wide-angle zoom for Nikon DX-format DSLRs, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR is a 15-30mm-equivalent lens well-suited to landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, and interior shooting. Despite its wide field of view, Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization is featured to help minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting. The lens also features a pulse stepping motor AF system, which benefits both video and photo applications due to its fast, quiet, and smooth focusing performance. In regard to its optical design, three aspherical elements are used to control spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range for improved sharpness and clarity. Additionally, a Super Integrated Coating has been applied to control lens flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions.

Wide-angle zoom is designed for DX-format Nikon F-mount DSLRs, where it provides a 15-30mm equivalent focal length range.
Three aspherical elements are used in the optical design to control spherical aberrations and distortion for notable sharpness and clarity throughout the zoom range.
A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, flare, and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.
Vibration Reduction image stabilization compensates for camera shake in order to deliver sharper handheld images.
AF-P pulse motor uses stepping motors to deliver impressively smooth, quiet, and fast autofocus performance that is well-suited to both stills and video applications. Full-time manual focus override is also possible and an internal focusing design is used, where only the internal lens groups are moved during focusing, to maintain the overall length of the lens during use and to promote faster focusing speeds.

  • AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens

Excelling at close distances, the AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G from Nikon is a 60mm-equivalent macro prime offering a 1:1 life-size maximum magnification along with a 6.4" minimum focusing distance. Benefitting both close-up shooting as well as working at greater distances, the optical design uses a Close Range Correction system that maintains consistent image quality and sharpness throughout the focusing range. Individual elements also feature a Super Integrated Coating, which suppresses flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity and harsh lighting conditions. Additionally, complementing the imaging capabilities, a Silent Wave Motor affords fast and precise autofocus performance, along with full-time manual focus override, to benefit both stills and video applications.

Slightly longer-than-normal prime is designed for DX-format F-mount cameras and provides a 60mm equivalent focal length.
Ideal for macro shooting, this lens offers a life-size 1:1 maximum magnification along with a minimum focusing distance of 6.4" to suit working with close-up subjects.
A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, flare, and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.
Silent Wave Motor affords quick, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm promotes a pleasing out of focus quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.

Nikon Lens Sets reviews

Landscape & Macro 2 Lens Kit with 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6 and 40mm f/2.8 Lenses is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Lens Package at a Budget Friendly Price I continue using my D7100 DSLR Camera w/18-140mm VR kit lens since purchased new from B&H in March 2014, and have been more than satisfied without having to upgrade. With Nikon's lens promotion, I added this two lens landscape and macro lens kit. The lenses perform admirably, although not outstanding, but considering the affordability, I accept the imperfections. UWA with VR has limited functionality with the D7100. Namely, it is an AF-P lens that was added to the DX lineup, and the first DX ultra wide with VR, but with no switches for M/AF or stabilization on the barrel. Be sure to check this lens' compatibility with your camera model and that its firmware has been updated. Optically, there's a moderate amount of distortion at 10mm but improves as you zoom in. The lens is sharp enough in the center of the image, but soft in the corners that only sharpen up when stopped down to f/8 or f/11 in the middle of the zoom range. The VR is surprisingly effective. The macro lens is small with excellent performance— sharp at ?/2.8, with a touch of corner softness, and sharpest stopped down to just ?/4. For macro use, it offers full 1:1 macro resolution with a minimum close-focusing distance of just over six inches (calculated from the sensor), which doesn't give you a lot of room from the end of the lens. This is probably the lens that Nikon markets as 'an introduction to macro photography'. At this price point, both offer impressive optics made affordable. Lens hoods are not provided and are optional. As usual, I added B+W clear filters for protection. Both these lenses have successfully expanded my photographic creativity without breaking the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a good purchase! I realized that these lenses were not "Pro" lenses, but they were fine for the price that you were paying! The Nikon Landscape Lens works well and the 109 lens angle works just fine. The Nikon 40mm Macro lens is fine, but you must remember that the depth of field is very limited and I like to take pictures that are hand held, so this lens is limited in my use. However, you can use a mini tripod and everything is great, also after 12" of distance all works out well. Enjoy the fun of a new experience that you only knew with a "Point-And_Shoot" camera

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are "Must Have" level lenses! Macro photography even at this simple level is lots of fun. You don't need to go far to find great things to photograph with a macro lens. The landscape lens is fun to play with at 10mm. It distorts the image and if you get real close to someone it makes for fun and interesting images. I used my landscape lens during Thanksgiving to get everyone in the picture and have taken several shots around home so far. I wish I had it for my trip to Skyline Drive VA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Never a Disappointment Nikon lenses are all they claim to be. Now the ball is in my court to make the best use of the capabilities of both these lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Originally looking for a wide angle lens, but when I saw the 2 lens kit, it was too good to pass up. Haven't used the Macro lens much yet but the landscape made for some great shots. It was easier to get everyone in the picture or include much more in the shot without having to be a mile away. Family pictures in front of a tall Christmas tree are easy now!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheaply made! This pair of lenses from Nikon are the poorest equipment that I have purchased from them. They seem to be made entirely of plastic. I would not purchase this equipment again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Lenses in a Great Kit I originally thought I would only get the 10-20 because I was very interested in learning to use an ultra wide angle lens. This lens is incredibly lightweight and small, and it works great on my D5600. The photos are sharp and clear end to end, and the f/4.5 is fine in most light. I also tried some natural light indoors shots and they were good too. I did not see any softness or distortion at any point in the range. I would of course prefer a faster lens and also one with an AF/M switch as well as a distance scale, but the small size and light weight are trade offs for those other features and overall, I can do without them. I had only a slight interest in the 40mm micro as a possible future purchase, but the price of these two lenses together in this kit was a good enough savings that I decided to get the kit. The 40mm is the lens that has pleasantly surprised me. I really love this small, light lens. The macro function is great fun, the colors are stunning and vivid, and the lens is exceptionally sharp and bright. I'm actually having more fun with this macro lens than the wide angle! The 40mm distance is useful for some things, but mostly I'm using it for close-up and macro shots. I'm extremely pleased with both lenses in this kit, which also included a two free Nikon School online courses relevant to these two lenses—one called "Exploring Dynamic Landscape Photography" and the other is "Discovering Macro Photography."
