  • AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens

A versatile wide-angle zoom for Nikon DX-format DSLRs, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR is a flexible lens offering a 15-30mm equivalent focal length range. Despite its wide field of view, Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization is featured to help minimize the appearance of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting. The lens also features a pulse stepping motor AF system, which benefits both video and photo applications due to its fast, quiet, and smooth focusing performance. In regard to its optical design, three aspherical elements are used to control spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range for improved sharpness and clarity. Additionally, a Super Integrated Coating has been applied to control lens flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions.

Flexible wide-angle zoom is designed for DX-format F-mount DSLRs where it provides a 15-30mm equivalent focal length range.
Three aspherical elements are used in the optical design to control spherical aberrations and distortion for notable sharpness and clarity throughout the zoom range.
A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to lens elements to minimize surface and internal reflections for a marked reduction in lens flare and ghosting.
Vibration Reduction image stabilization compensates for camera shake in order to deliver sharper handheld images.
A pulse stepping motor AF system enables accurate and silent focusing that works well in both stills and video shooting.
Full-time manual focus override allows instant switching between AF and MF focusing systems by just rotating the focus ring at any time.
Internal focusing design maintains the overall lens length during operation and contributes to a lighter overall weight.

  • AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens

Designed for DX-format cameras AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G Lens from Nikon will allow users to get true 1:1 magnification for extremely close-up imaging. It has a 60mm equivalent focal length in FX format along with a capable aperture range of f/2.8 to 22. Also, it has the Close-Range Correction system to ensure image quality is maintained at such close angles.

Continuous quiet autofocus from infinity to 6.4 inches with a Silent Wave Motor AF system, and quick switching from autofocus to manual focus and back will keep you from missing any photo opportunities. The 7-blade diaphragm delivers a lovely, natural-looking background blur, and Nikon's Super Integrated lens coating gives you reduced lens flare and improved color consistency.

Compact and Lightweight DX-Format Close-Up Lens
Small enough to be carried everywhere, this standard focal length DX-format Micro-NIKKOR lens provides high resolution and contrast from infinity to life-size. The AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G is for taking high quality stills and HD D-Movies and is ideal for shooting general close-ups, delicate flowers, detailed collectibles, copy photography, portraits, landscapes and more.
Sharp Images from Infinity to Life-Size (1X)
This standard close-up lens captures the finest details at any distance, including details practically impossible to detect with the human eye. It's a great choice for enticing food photography or detailed product shots. And with its continuous autofocusing from infinity to 6.4 inches, the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G ensures sharpness and clarity in every composition.
    Stunning Portraits and Landscapes, Too
The AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G is compact, lightweight and versatile enough for everyday photography, including flattering people shots and breathtaking landscapes, so you get brilliant results in most situations without switching lenses.
    Natural Background Blur (Bokeh)
Whether you're shooting portraits, food or nature-indoors or outdoors-the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G's rounded 7-blade diaphragm renders a beautiful, natural background blur (bokeh) at its wider aperture settings. Selective focus helps to isolate the subject, creating out of focus backgrounds.
    Superior Close-Range Focusing
The Close-Range Correction system is one of Nikon's most important focusing innovations. Using an innovative floating element design, each lens group moves independently to achieve superior performance at close distances.
    Quiet Autofocus
A significant innovation in AF lens technology, Nikon's Silent Wave Motor uses ultrasonic (inaudible) vibrations-rather than a gear system-to focus the lens, providing incredibly smooth, silent and precise autofocus operation.
Quick Switching from AF to MF
When fine manual focusing is needed, simply rotate the lens focus ring-M/A mode allows you to seamlessly override the AF system with virtually no time lag.
    Reduce Lens Flare and Ghosting
Nikon's Super Integrated Coating enhances light transmission efficiency and offers superior color consistency and reduced lens flare.

Nikon Lens Sets reviews

Landscape & Macro 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6 and 40mm f/2.8 Two Lens Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Lens Package at a Budget Friendly Price I continue using my D7100 DSLR Camera w/18-140mm VR kit lens since purchased new from B&H in March 2014, and have been more than satisfied without having to upgrade. With Nikon's lens promotion, I added this two lens landscape and macro lens kit. The lenses perform admirably, although not outstanding, but considering the affordability, I accept the imperfections. UWA with VR has limited functionality with the D7100. Namely, it is an AF-P lens that was added to the DX lineup, and the first DX ultra wide with VR, but with no switches for M/AF or stabilization on the barrel. Be sure to check this lens' compatibility with your camera model and that its firmware has been updated. Optically, there's a moderate amount of distortion at 10mm but improves as you zoom in. The lens is sharp enough in the center of the image, but soft in the corners that only sharpen up when stopped down to f/8 or f/11 in the middle of the zoom range. The VR is surprisingly effective. The macro lens is small with excellent performance— sharp at ?/2.8, with a touch of corner softness, and sharpest stopped down to just ?/4. For macro use, it offers full 1:1 macro resolution with a minimum close-focusing distance of just over six inches (calculated from the sensor), which doesn't give you a lot of room from the end of the lens. This is probably the lens that Nikon markets as 'an introduction to macro photography'. At this price point, both offer impressive optics made affordable. Lens hoods are not provided and are optional. As usual, I added B+W clear filters for protection. Both these lenses have successfully expanded my photographic creativity without breaking the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a good purchase! I realized that these lenses were not "Pro" lenses, but they were fine for the price that you were paying! The Nikon Landscape Lens works well and the 109 lens angle works just fine. The Nikon 40mm Macro lens is fine, but you must remember that the depth of field is very limited and I like to take pictures that are hand held, so this lens is limited in my use. However, you can use a mini tripod and everything is great, also after 12" of distance all works out well. Enjoy the fun of a new experience that you only knew with a "Point-And_Shoot" camera

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are "Must Have" level lenses! Macro photography even at this simple level is lots of fun. You don't need to go far to find great things to photograph with a macro lens. The landscape lens is fun to play with at 10mm. It distorts the image and if you get real close to someone it makes for fun and interesting images. I used my landscape lens during Thanksgiving to get everyone in the picture and have taken several shots around home so far. I wish I had it for my trip to Skyline Drive VA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Never a Disappointment Nikon lenses are all they claim to be. Now the ball is in my court to make the best use of the capabilities of both these lenses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lens Glad I bought them. Used then several times now , and I'm very happy with the results .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheaply made! This pair of lenses from Nikon are the poorest equipment that I have purchased from them. They seem to be made entirely of plastic. I would not purchase this equipment again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Originally looking for a wide angle lens, but when I saw the 2 lens kit, it was too good to pass up. Haven't used the Macro lens much yet but the landscape made for some great shots. It was easier to get everyone in the picture or include much more in the shot without having to be a mile away. Family pictures in front of a tall Christmas tree are easy now!
