Dual Band 2.4 / 5 GHz | 802.11ac Wi-Fi
Supports common Wi-Fi standards, such as 802.11ac, and legacy Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n standards for compatibility with a wide range of devices. 1000' coverage is provided for connecting to on-set devices.
High Throughput and Interference Resistant
Link's quad core processor and significant internal memory ensure high data throughput despite numerous clients utilizing the network at once. Compared to typical consumer access points, Link offers optimized buffering and packet re-transmission, allowing you to maintain a consistent connection even in tough RF environments.
Rugged Design
Link's aluminum chassis allows it to withstand the daily abuse common in production environments or in the field. With several 1/4"-20 mounts, the device can easily be mounted onto light stands, DIT carts, or OB vans.
PoE Power
Link's passive PoE connection allows the system to be powered in line with the Teradek Sphere or any other PoE injector for a more streamlined setup on set.
Network Security
Link offers standard WiFi network protection, including WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security.

If I plug my iPhone into this via USB, will the router be able to access the iphone's hotspot and share internet data?
Asked by: David
The following is a manufacturer overview of how they employ the USB interfaces for their Wi-Fi routers: USB to Wi-Fi adapters allow older generation Teradek devices like the Bond II or Bond Pro to use a Wi-Fi connection as part of a bonded connection, as these older devices could not use the built-in Wi-Fi on the device for bonding. Newer generation (600 or 700 series) Teradek devices do not support external USB to Wi-Fi adapters. Instead, the built-in Wi-Fi on the 600 or 700 series products can be used in Client mode to connect to a Wi-Fi network or hotspot . Historically, USB Wi-Fi adapter support was added for those older devices to allow the use of Wi-Fi hotspots from mobile carriers, as those devices didn't support USB tethering at that time. Currently, most mid-tier and higher end Wi-Fi hotspots also support driverless USB tethering, so a wired connection between the hotspot and the Teradek device can be made and a USB to Wi-Fi connection is not necessary. Additionally, most Wi-Fi networks provided by venues are walled behind a captive portal and wouldn't be able to be used with our devices, as there's no way to authenticate to the captive portal.
