This B&H Kit combines the dark gray Occipital Structure Sensor 3D Scanner with Occipital's Skanect Pro 3D Scanning Software and Occipital's USB Hacker Cable for the Structure Sensor.

  • Occipital Structure Sensor 3D Scanner (Dark Gray)

    Using separately sold adapter brackets, the dark gray Structure Sensor 3D Scanner from Occipital lets users perform 3D scans, capture augmented reality, and obtain measurements quickly on devices such as the 12.9" iPad Pro, 10.5" iPad Pro, 9.7" iPad Pro, iPad Air and 5th Generation iPad, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, and iPad mini 2. If you don't plan to use the Structure Sensor with an iPad, it can also be attached to robots, fixed installations, the iPhone 5s, 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, and 7 Plus, Android devices, and Windows, macOS, and Linux devices.

    Visit Occipital's resource pages for CAD specs to build custom attachments. For use with Windows, macOS, or Linux, the USB Hacker cable is required. Included is free access to Structure SDK, an iOS Lightning cable, a power adapter, and M1.6 screws, and a screwdriver.

    The Structure Sensor is ready to use once it's unpacked. There are already apps made for the Structure Sensor in the App Store and Occipital also provides a set of sample apps in Structure SDK to show more of what's possible.
    Structure SDK
    The Structure SDK for iOS is Occipital's way of taking care of the basics so developers can get straight to publishing applications. Need precise 6-DoF tracking? Volumetric reconstruction? Real world occlusion? Their APIs have you covered. Prefer to develop at a low level? You'll have direct access to the same raw data and low-level controls on the Structure Sensor that Occipital does. The Structure Sensor also supports OpenNI 2 on most other platforms.

  • Occipital Skanect Pro 3D Scanning Software

    Capture a full color 3D model of an object, a person, a room, create 3D meshes out of real scenes, and more using Skanect Pro from Occipital. This software allows users to turn their Occipital Structure Sensor, Microsoft Kinect, or ASUS Xtion Pro Live into a 3D scanner that can operate at up to 30 fps.

    With this software, users will be able to export .obj, .ply, .stl, and .vrml files, automate watertight repairs, simplify complex geometries, perform precise edits, export to online sharing platforms and printing services, and more. Occipital's Skanect Pro is compatible with Windows 7 or later and Mac OS 10.10 and later.

    Kinect Compatibility
    The Kinect for Windows sensor is not supported in Skanect for Mac. The Kinect for Xbox 360 sensor cannot be used commercially. The Kinect for Xbox One and Kinect for Windows V2 sensors are NOT supported.

    Additional Setup

    Only for NVIDIA GT 650 M or better: Download and install Mac CUDA Drivers to enable GPU reconstruction.
    Windows
    No additional setup is necessary, but make sure your NVIDIA drivers are current if you want to benefit from GPU reconstruction.
