Acer XR382CQK overview

  • 1Description

The curved, XR382CQK bmijqphuzx 37.5" 21:9 IPS Monitor from Acer offers an all-encompassing viewing experience that allows you to view the entire screen without having to turn your head to see the corners of the display.

With a panoramic 21:9 aspect ratio, this IPS (In-Plane Switching) display offers more screen space when compared to traditional 16:9 monitors. The UltraWide QHD 3840 x 1600 resolution is over four times clearer than a standard 720p panel. Besides the resolution, this monitor features a 5 ms response time, a 300 cd/m² brightness rating, a 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and support for up to 1.07 billion colors.

Setup and configuration of the XR382CQK monitor is simple as it comes equipped with HDMI and DisplayPort inputs as well as five USB 3.1 ports. Once configured the monitor can be tilted and swiveled and the height can be adjusted to allow for a more comfortable viewing experience. Viewers also benefit from 178° horizontal and 178° vertical viewing angles to see the screen from virtually any angle.

UltraWide QHD Resolution
The 37.5" curved screen and UltraWide QHD (3840 x 1600) resolution make your games more exciting and movies look as realistic as possible.
21:9 Aspect Ratio
This Acer monitor offers plenty of curved screen real estate and a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio for an enhanced viewing experience. Two built-in 7W DTS Sound speakers bring improved audio to your movies, games, and music.
Color Accuracy

High Dynamic Range Support
High Dynamic Range (HDR) is a display technology that creates deeper levels of black and white contrast, giving you a greater level immersion through realistic image recreation. Using scalar chip decoding and mapping technology, the Edge-lit LED panel and global dimming functionality, this XR Series display pulls you in to the lifelike contrast and color of HDR.
FreeSync Support
Say "goodbye" to stuttering and tearing. FreeSync and Adaptive-Sync technologies match the refresh rate of your monitor with your graphics card to provide the smoothest gaming experience without the possibility of jitter.

    Acer XR382CQK reviews

XR382CQK bmijqphuzx 37.5" 21:9 Curved IPS Monitor is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck! Considering the LG, Dell, and this Acer 38" model all source & use the same IPS panel, I prefer the Acer over the others for sheer value for the money. Image quality is essentially the same among the competing models, so what I like on the Acer that the other models do not have is the small details added the Acer, such as the LED light-strip, and the easy UI. I also like that the Acer model does not have bluetooth sound connectivity like the LG because while on the face, sounds good, the implementation on the LG model is not good. You cannot turn that function off, you also cannot turn off the LED that shows bluetooth connectivity, which hampers it's usefulness. The Dell model is actually slightly better in overall quality, but at a steep cost, higher to the Acer model. Overall, if money is not an issue, the those people should look at the Dell model, if aesthetic looks are paramount (although I actually prefer the look of the Acer over the LG myself), go for the LG, but if best bang for the buck is wanted, then look no further than the Acer XR382CQK bmijqphuzx.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I was originally going to buy the LG or Viewsonic version of this monitor. I work in Lightroom and Capture One a good bit and use other image editing programs. SRGB is really all I need and this delivers 100%. I have minimal light bleed in the upper right corner, but that has no impact on the actual use of the monitor for me. Calibrated with an x-rite and it was good to go. I thought I wanted a higher pixel density and I almost went with a 32" 4K monitor, but now I am very glad that I didn't. I ran through Ghost Recon Wildlands for the wide screen experience and it's pretty cool, but even my water cooled 1080TI has trouble pushing this resolution at 75fps. Ultra setting land me in the low-mid 50fps. Very High settings get me over 60fps pretty consistently. EVE Online looks amazing on a screen like this. It is big and that takes some getting use to, but the screen real estate is worth it. I will probably mount it to a wall so I can move it back a little farther on my desk. The stand that comes with it is excellent, but keeps my from pushing the monitor back closer to the wall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Monitor / Poor Packaging. Loves this monitor, above all my expectations. 3 star only, the packaging was defective, the monitor and enclosed accessories were thrown all over the place. The Styrofoam was completely broken. the Monitor actually broke thru Styrofoam, Luckily the monitor was not damaged. Buyer be aware.
