How is the Sonos One affixed to stand?

These are form fitted specifically for the Sonos One speaker. The speakers are attached to the stand with pressure. Part of the stand goes into the bottom of the speaker snugly and there is a channel for the power cord along the pillar that exits through the base. Hardware is provided to assemble the stand, but there is no hardware needed to attach stand to speaker.

Does it have optional spikes for carpet placement?

Unfortunately the Speaker Stands will not come with attachable Spikes. The manufacturer website also does not indicate any.
