Godox XPro Overview

Using the 2.4 GHz Godox X wireless radio system, the XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger can be used to effectively and reliably trigger flashes from up to 328' away, and when used with compatible flashes and receivers users will have the added benefit of remote power control. This model is compatible with Canon's E-TTL / E-TTL II system, including support for high-speed sync up to 1/8000 second, and offers advanced control options along with settings for working with system-specific features. For ensuring maximum reliability and control, users can set up 16 groups on one of 32 channels and can then access 99 wireless ID settings for limiting interference from other nearby systems.

In addition to basic manual and TTL control modes, other settings are available, including stroboscopic flash and second-curtain sync. Users can adjust flash exposure compensation from -3 to +3 EV as well as wirelessly control the modeling light, zoom setting, and more. For using the XProC with other camera systems there is a 2.5mm sync port that supports triggering via a wired connection. Also, a USB Type-C port is present for firmware updates and the devices run on two AA batteries for convenience.

Godox XPro Reviews

Autofocus ON on camera smashes manual flash amount.

I already mentioned this ridiculous defect in another thread. I have no idea about the mechanism but it is reproducible with different Godox flash units and this device couple with Nikon Z8. WHen flash is set to manual with certain amount of output and camera/lens AF is ON, flash outputs becomes very inconsistent, varying between every other shot. Once camera/lens focus is set to Manual, the desired manual output of the flash becomes consistent. Weird!

Misbehavior with Nikon Z8

I need to decrease the number of stars from my previous review. If the remote flash Godox TT685iiN is set to M (any group, any power output), the lens autofocus must be OFF. With autofocus ON, flash output is very uneven. I do not know the relationships between these, but the observation is consistent for several flash units. As flashes are remote and do not communicate with camera directly, there is some miscommunication between the camera and this XProN trigger.

Sometimes camera stacks with this device attached.

I do not know why but sometimes my Z8 stacks with this device attached and On, not responding to any buttons. Need to turn Off both, disconnect the device, then switch On camera without the device, turn it Off again, and then re-connect the device and switch On both. This did not occur when I used another brand (still not genuine Nikon stuff).

Great improvement over X2

I like to do my lighting setups using this trigger remotely from camera, then simply slide it on the camera and shoot. This approach is much easier on the Xpro than it was on the X2 since the screen and all controls are top side.

It's Working.

They last about 6 months if you're careful. I have gotten two. First one BH replaced when it broke. The fit on the hotshot of my SONY A7siii was so tight taking if off was near impossible. Finally it just breaks off.

Works Great!

I have been using my godox v1 canon flash as a trigger for my ad100s and ad200s and now that I got these it makes life so much easier! It's super convenient, lightweight and discreet. I just worked a wedding with them for the first time and they were perfect! Cant wait to use them again and see how they work long term.

The transmitter will fire as often as you press the shutter. In order to not shoot faster than your recycle you could turn your the lights beep when ready feature.

Yes you can use Godox XProC TTL Wireless Flash Trigger to dedicated camera hot shoe and trigger other cameras using the Godox X1R-C TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Receiver on your 2nd camera. You will need to use the trigger cable available in the box of Godox receiver.
