Offering increased control over exposures, this Pro Ultra Slim ND Filter from Fotodiox features a 145mm front filter thread, and is used to darken the entire image, thereby allowing you to increase exposure times or to work with a wider aperture setting than without the filter while maintaining the correct exposure. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. The 1.2 optical density of this filter requires a 4-stop increase in exposure to achieve a normal exposure.

The filter is made from optical glass, which has been multicoated to maintain image quality when working in strong lighting conditions. The glass is set in a 3mm-thick anodized aluminum ring that is lightweight, durable, and slim to help prevent vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses.

This 3-stop, 6.6 x 8.5" Soft-Edge Graduated ND Filter from FotodioX is designed for use with the WonderPana 66 and FreeArc filter holder systems. The filter helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 3-stop reduction in light from entering a lens. This filter is made of durable, CR39 optical resin and measures 4mm thick. A carrying pouch is also included with the filter.
