I installed one of these in a parts supply room in a very dirty environment and the installation couldn't have been easier and the picture quality is fantastic even in night mode. extremely happy with this camera.

I'm an IT consultant and have a need for a small camera. Searching around I came across this Ubiquiti model and found a great price (as always) on the bandh.com website. I order form bandh.com several times a month for customer projects and they have always had timely deliveries at a fair price. I have not had the need for their support but their sales department have had the answers I needed quickly. The product came fast and I am very happy with my choice! Thanks again to bandh.com for being a single source for all my IT needs!

I use this to keep an eye out on my 2 yr old and 6 yr old. They share a room. This integrated easily with my existing set up and works perfect with 2 way audio with the App.

Good Tiny Camera (with Ubiquiti NVR system)

This is the latest updated wi-fi camera for the Ubiquiti Unifi NVR system. The older 720p MicroCam is no longer available. PROs: New cam has good resolution and is a good upgrade for when 720p cams need to be replaced. This (and older 720p) cams are tiny compared to anything else out there. Works seemlessly with existing NVR software(on WIndows) or NVR self-contained box. Lots of mounting options included. Multiple cameras work fine on crowded wi-fi. Camera only requires power plug-in, no other wiring needed, so very easy to install. Cams have been great to provide evidence to security guards, police, etc for various problem visitors. Hint: Mount at least 1 camera at eye-level, with unobstructed view of faces you need to record. High mounting is usually OK, but will rarely get good face pics. 2Tb NVR holds at least a couple of weeks of video from 7 cameras. Access to NVR video (live and recorded) is easy on Android phones, Tablets, Windows PCs, and Chromebooks. Lots of easy and detailed camera settings can be made via NVR login. 1080p cam has a wider FOV than older 720p cams. CONs: More pricey compared to older cams. This cam will not work on older 720p cam magnetic bases, even though they look identical--meaning you will have to re-run wiring and mounting using the new hardware included. This is the only choice of wi-fi cam for Ubiquiti NVR, now that 720p cams are no longer available. All these cameras run hot, so don't expect them to last more than 3-6 years. Setup can get fiddly, I have to use phone app at first, then login to NVR to complete setup, then login to camera to set static IP. Hint: Write every step and every number down somewhere so you can do it again for modifications later, and keep good notes of everything.

It’s OK, but buggy

It’s overall OK camera, but it’s wireless and there are some serious connection issues. It’s dropping connection multiple times a day, even though Ubiquity access point is a few yards away. Good for watching dogs at home only.

Worst installation experience

I am a surgeon , software engineer and server admin and it took me over two hours and four attempts to get this working ; tou can’t imagine more convoluted install with multiple passwords and don’t expect an easy pathway through the instructions ;!

Amazing Picture and great form factor

This little camera is fantastic. The magnetic mount allows you to position it at almost any angle. The image quality is fantastic and the options built into the Unifi Protect software allow for many options to tweak the image to suit your needs. You will not regret this purchase.

this camera works great until the end of the return period. then it starts going offline randomly and you have to factory default and start again to try and temporarily resolve the issue until it starts doing it again. i have my entire system on battery backup btw so i'm not dealing with issues from brownouts, etc. Now this camera is discontinued so people buy the g3 instance for the same problem. don't buy this one (if stock is available) and dont buy the g3 instance because its the same problem.
