Upgraded Peak Design Quality
This strap is an upgrade from previous versions with even greater security, a lower profile, and high-quality materials.
  • Revamped anchor connectors attach to the eyelets of your camera or the included anchor mount.
  • Made from ultrasmooth nylon webbing with a tighter and more durable weave, the Slide is internally padded to ensure comfortable use.

I cant believe what ive been missing all this time. Using the Canon strap that came with the R6. I used to complain to my wife all the time about my back over the course of the day. Wedding Photographers have the longest days. Well used the strap for the first time today and was so nice to go home without that throbbing lower back. Thanks Peak Designs for a winner of a strap.

... if you had ever owned anything from PD in the past. Thoughtfully designed, wholesomely resourced and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely worth every cent, well done y'all.

Handy and useful product. I like that the material is the same quality as that found on car seat belts. Very smooth and durable. Just slightly expensive for the product. Sometimes i use it with the anchor hooks to carry a sling bag.

good but not perfect

I would have liked to see the camera strap maybe a foot longer. I could see if you only carry a camera with a short lens, I'm almost always carrying a camera with telephoto or telephoto zoom lens. It would hang better with a longer strap and you could still adjust it. It doesn't seem right to have to turn the strap inside out to make use of the grip surface. I would like a shoulder pad on the strap. The strap is still better than any other current strap.

Perfect!

Nice Strap, wish it converted to dual harness

I often use two to three cameras on a remote shoot, and all those straps get in the way while packed in my bag. Slide removes all the clutter, and makes it simple to change cameras in a hurry. I wish peak design came out with a duel camera harness system for sports photographers. I do have couple of concerns with the slide strap, 1) The anchor mount base plate that attaches to the tripod thread on the camera body does not have a pass-through tread on it, so once you attach the peak anchor mount on the camera there is no possibility to attach the camera to a monopod or tripod. 2) The padded part of slide strap which rests on your shoulder is too stiff, making it impossible to roll up the strap when not in use. Also I do get a little anxious while using it on a pro body with 70-200 f2.8 lens; I know they have rated it to carry 200ibs, but some sort of safety lanyard would be welcome for peace of mind. Overall I like the product it is a good design, they pay attention to minor details like providing the allen wrench with a mini keychain ring so that you can easily attach it with your other such tools and find it quickly when needed.

Most comfortable way to carry my camera

I've been lugging around my Fujifilm medium format camera and getting neck and shoulder muscle pain ... the Slide's cross body position has saved me!

Solid build, but big

Overall it's great. Only issue - I wish the strap were smaller for a bit near the connectors. The main issue being when I'm using my Canon R6 for video and I flip out the little monitor, the straps block most of the screen. In an ideal world the monitor wouldn't flip out and it wouldn't be a problem. It's more a design flaw on Canon's end honestly.

I have a Contax T2, Would this fit it?
Asked by: Esmeralda
The Contax T2 35mm Film Camera only has one strap connector, as it is a small point-and-shoot camera. It was not designed for use with neck straps. A better solution for your usage needs would be to purchase either the Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap (Black), B&H # PECFBL3, or the OP/TECH USA Cam Strap-QD (Black), B&H # OPSCQDB, for your usage needs. If you do wish to use the Peak Design SL-BK-3 Slide Camera Strap (Black), B&H # PESLBK3, you would have to connect the anchor connector for both strap ends onto the same strap connector on the camera. As I do not know if there is enough room on the strap connector for two anchor connectors, and as the camera has been discontinued and is no longer avaialble, you would just have to try it to see if it works; we have no way of testing this without the camera. If it does not work, we do have a 30-Day Return Policy so you may return the strap for an exchange or a refund.

How good comfortable is this for heavy gear (like D850 and 200-500)? The padding doesn't look all that substantial. Also, how does it attach to a tripod foot? Would I attach two connectors to the foot?
Asked by: Eric
I think it is very comfortable and for tripod foot it comes with Tripod Plate to attach to the foot

is the tripod mount that's included compatible with the PD travel tripod?
Asked by: Kyle
That thing included is not a tripod mount (if what you mean is can you connect it to a tripod.) It is just a plate that will allow you to attach anchor points to the tripod hole on your camera. Peak Design does separately sell tripod plates that the anchors can be attached to.
