Blending a bright maximum aperture with a comfortable wide-angle focal length, the AF 35mm f/1.4 FE from Samyang is a versatile prime lens for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Its general wide-angle field of view suits photographing a wide variety of subjects and the fast f/1.4 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and also enables working with shallow depth of field techniques. The optical design incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and two high refractive index elements to suppress spherical aberrations in order to achieve a high degree of sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to control flare and ghosting for increased contrast when working in strong lighting conditions. The lens's Linear Super sonic Motor works in conjunction with Sony cameras' AF systems for quick and precise focusing performance. Additionally, a nine-blade circular diaphragm contributes to smooth, rounded bokeh.

I am such a huge fan of the semi quality. The price is exceptional for what you're getting. I love the character of these lenses. It works perfect for portrait photography, landscaping, and video work. Exceptional!
Great lens for the price
Using this lens on my A7RIV for night photography. Very sharp even at F1.4. Build quality is excellent, nicely weighted and AF is good, even though I mostly shoot manual. Highly recommended. For the price, can't be beat.

Awesome Lens
This lens is very at home in any kind of photography. It is extremely sharp and focuses very fast. My only gripe is that its manual focus is very iffy, almost as if its jumping from distance to distance. Other than that, I have no other complaints. It is an absolutely amazing lens for its price.
Beautiful lens, misses focus
This lens is seriously good value for what you get. Paired with my Sony A7, many photos taken have came out perfect when focus actually lands. Alternatively, this lens consistently misses focus and struggles in low light. Any time focusing to infinity almost never actually lands focus. This makes me have to refocus multiple times and assume the focus lands. If I wanted to use manual focus, I would have gotten a manual focus lens, but when the whole perk of auto focus doesn't necessarily work, it becomes a big struggle. Trying to take photos in focus. Otherwise the lens is high quality and feels great to use. Focus is relatively quick and sounds low toned and not annoying to use, it feels "good to focus" this lens. Just wish focus actually landed consistently.

Honestly talking. I am extremely happy with Samyang prime lenses for my Sony a7 III. I previously bought an 85mm f/1.4 and the result was amazing. So I decided to get the 35mm f/1.4 as well. They are perfect and cover a great range. The picture quality is unexplainable. They are very silent and the auto focus is fast with my Sony. I also bought a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 with B&H and these are my working tools. I think about getting a 24mm Samyang in the future.
