While the SL2 cannot use an infrared remote, there is a radio remote such as the Vello FreeWave Plus Wireless Remote Shutter Release for Canon, B&H # VERWIIC which doesn't require line of sight. https://bhpho.to/31d6bof

Pictures from this SL2 camera have too much ...

Pictures from this SL2 camera have too much yellow on the skin, especially if taken in low light or using flash. How do I adjust it on camera?
Asked by: Hung
To adjust the color when using the Canon SL2, set the camera to "M" mode, and go to the Camera menu, there one will see the various settings: Picture Size, Color space (should be set at Adobe RGB), and see the "Picture Style" setting choices. There you can choose, portrait mode to get the best skin tones with the camera. It will help to experiment with different settings. The other important setting on the camera is "White Balance". The factory setting is set on "Auto White balance". There are specific settings for ,daylight, shadows, flash ,tungsten light, and custom balance. when using your flash try the specific flash setting to see if it will improve your colors, as well as choosing the right "picture style"
