cat6 cable compatible?

cat6 cable compatible?
Asked by: THOMAS
Yes. Cat-6 still uses an RJ45 connector, like earlier versions. Typically compatibility issues are due to devices requiring a higher level of throughput and therefore a more recent spec. I don’t recall ever seeing a backward compatibility issue with Cat-X cables...other than the size of the cable itself, since Cat-6 is a larger diameter cable. But it is still an RJ45 on the end. I used Axis cameras at two locations and have Cat-5e at one and Cat-6 at the other. No issues.

question

Is there a way to program and implement a script that moves camera to different positions during different times of day/night? For example on old(er) Axis 215 PTZ-E we have this bash script that runs these 2 cycles - day and night - each cycle has a specific set of positions.
Asked by: Vladimir S.
Axis communication has the best shot for creating and running a script to move the camera in different positions.

question

The camera apparently does audio i/o via a 4-pin terminal block. Is there an adapter available to connect one of Axis' 3.5mm outdoor mics to the camera's audio input?
Asked by: Joshua M.
You can reference how to splice a wire and connect it to the connector here:<a href= https://www.louroe.com/wp-content/uploads/amic_inst_12_14.pdf target= _blank >https://www.louroe.com/wp-content/uploads/amic_inst_12_14.pdf</a>
