RAM Mounts Transducer Mount Reviews

Kayak mounting for the Lowrance Totalscan transducer

I mounted this on a YakAttack Cellblok, and put it on my Jackson Coosa HD kayak. I only have one trip out with it, but it seems there's a bit more artifact than I would have expected with this unit (I may be using the images/videos I see online to set my expectation). I attribute that to the turbulence I see around the transducer in the water, which you possibly wouldn't have if you mounted it on the transom (or protected in a scupper-type mounting location, if you didn't need side scan). YakAttack has a mount that's supposed to mitigate this problem, but it doesn't fit the Totalscan transducer, so I'll probably try to cobble up some type of baffle to see if that reduces the artifact. Otherwise, like everything Ram I've owned - quality product, and great service from B&H.
