A basic kit great for portraiture, products, and ecommerce, the Smith-Victor KT1500LED 2-Light Dual Socket Light Kit contains everything you'll need to get started at home, in the studio, or on the road.
The kit includes two dual-socket lights with umbrella mounts. Each socket uses 2 LED lamps with a 5500K color temperature and a high SRI of 95, indicating an accurate rendition of color. The bulbs each output the equivalent of a 375W tungsten fixture and have a long, virtually maintenance-free, 50,000-hour lamp life. The bulbs generate barely perceptible warmth allowing you to squeeze them into tight spaces without the worry of hazard, or place them close to the talent without discomfort.
The included 33" white translucent umbrellas produce soft light with a wide spread but you can also turn them around with the convex side facing the subject and "shoot through" the umbrella for snappier contrast. The lights and umbrellas are supported by two 6' light stands and it all fits in the provided padded kit case.
