Constructed using heat-dissipating aluminum, this card reader is equipped with three independent and dedicated cards slots: one that that supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC media, a second that supports microSD, microSDHC, and microSDXC media, and a third that supports CompactFlash Type I media. Thanks to plug-and-play connectivity, Xcellon's USB Multi-Card Reader can be used straight out of the box and does not require any additional software or downloads for use with your Windows, Mac, or Linux system. An integrated LED indicator provides visual cues as to the card reader's activity and when it is or isn't in use, while an integrated dust cover helps protect the card slots from dirt, debris, and damage. Included are 1.6' micro-USB 3.1 Gen 1 Micro-B to USB Type-C and USB 3.1 Gen 1 Micro-B to Type-A cables and protection is provided by a limited 5-year warranty.

General Features

SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1

Data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s makes waiting for hours to complete transferring files a thing of the past. Those hefty video or photo files stored on your memory cards will copy to your computer or between cards at SuperSpeed USB rates - almost five times faster than USB 2.0.

Compatible with USB-C, Thunderbolt 3, USB (Standard A) Devices

Whether you have a brand-new device or computer, or if you've owned it for a few years, the CR-M10 is compatible with it. Both USB Type-C and Standard-A cables are included so you'll never have to worry about compatibility. It can also be used directly with all iPad Pros that feature the USB-C port.

Multiple Card Formats

The CR-M10 reader is compatible with SD, microSD, and CompactFlash Type I cards. You can use cards individually or all at once. Regardless of what card format you use to save your files, the CR-M10 can read it.

Simultaneous and Inter-Card Transfers

The CR-M10 is capable of simultaneously reading files from several cards. Card-to-card file transfers are fast and are sure to speed up your workflow. You can also transfer the files from your camera's memory card onto another card for storage or backup.

Plug-and-Play

The reader is ready to go to work right out of the box. No additional software or downloads are necessary. Plug it into a powered USB or Thunderbolt 3 port and start working.

Compact and Portable

Take the CR-M10 anywhere. It weighs two ounces and is small enough to slip into your pocket. Its rugged construction will tolerate bumps and impacts.

Aluminum Housing

The CR-M10's aluminum housing dissipates heat, so your reader won't be affected by overheating.

Can't speak to the longevity of it but out the box it functions exactly as advertised and feels solid, no loose cards which was the downfall of the cardreaders I tried before getting this one

Have older 1st Gen. Compact Flash Cards. Have Targus and Sunpak Compact Flash readers which do not transfer photos to the computer. Called B&H for guidance and they recommended the Xcellon USB Multi-Card Reader. Excellent advice for an excellent card reader. Like the 2 cables too.

The Xcellon USB Multi-Card Reader is only compatible for use with SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards, microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC memory cards, and CompactFlash Type I Memory Cards. It is not compatible for use with CFexpress or XQD memory cards. If you need a card reader option compatible for use with both XQD and CFexpress memory cards, the ProGrade Digital CFexpress Type-B & XQD Single-Slot Thunderbolt 3 Workflow Reader, B&H # PRRWCFXXQDAN, or the Sony MRW-G1 CFexpress Type B/XQD Memory Card Reader, B&H # SOMRWG1T1, would work for your usage needs.

UHS came about due to 4K-capable video devices needing faster write speeds. The SD Association has two UHS Speed Classes, UHS Speed Class 1 and UHS Speed Class 3. UHS Speed Class 1 supports a minimum 10MB/s write speed, whereas UHS Speed Class 3 supports at least 30MB/s write speed.
