PortaBrace CAR-2CAM Overview

Styled in platinum, this Cargo Case Camera Edition from Porta Brace holds an assembled pro video camera measuring up to 16.5" long in its 9"-tall main compartment. It can also be used to carry a full DSLR camera kit. This bag has two exterior padded side pockets, two exterior flat zippered pockets, and two interior slip pockets for storing additional gear.

Use the included padded Camera Cradle to protect your DSLR, mirrorless, or camcorder in the case. A Camcorder Cinch strap enables you to tie down your camera in the case, preventing it from bouncing while in motion. A detachable divider, a removable microphone pocket, a 4" lens cup, and a PB-B9 stuff sack are also included with the Cargo Case. A semirigid interior foam core provides soft protective padding for your gear.

Constructed with a 1000D Cordura nylon exterior, the case's skid-resistant waterproof bottom enables you to set it down outside without fear of getting the contents wet. Cargo case features include reverse zippers that are sewn-in upside down for added durability. The zipper pulls are moved back to the top and function normally. Carry this made-in-the-USA bag using the removable shoulder strap or the suede-grip top handles.

The Strap Breaks And Puts Your Gear At Risk!

The 2nd time using this bag, the plastic on the shoulder strap snapped and my camera crashed to the concrete. To make matters worse, I'm unable to return the bag to B&H because I failed to keep the original packaging it came in. Very disappointed I'm not able to return a defective product. I recommend looking for a different bag.

Excellent case for Panasonic UX-180

This ended up as a perfect bag for the Panasonic UX-180. Excellent quality as has been the case with every PortaBrace product I've owned over the years, and this bag is reasonably priced as well. The camera can fit in the bag with an external mic mount still attached to camera top, and there's good space for batteries, etc. I would not want anything smaller, and anything larger would be more real estate than needed. My only suggestion would be to add some thin, but firm padding to the top flap that zips open for extra protection - this really only cost part of a star, but does keep it from a perfect 5. Highly recommended.

I bought this bag after watching a Youtube video by DSLRShooter Caleb Pike. This holds my camera rig great!!! It's not bulky like my Pelican case and is stylish. Next is getting my business logo embroidered on the top flap!!

This case is perfect for my Panasonic dxv200 and accessories. Lightweight yet sturdy and has plenty of extra room for storing batteries, chargers and cables.

I have a medium format dslr and this is just perfect Room for the camera and 2 additional lenses plus a little extra space Has a small flashlight real , nice strap , Very comfortable handles ,

Very nice, as usual, for Porta Brace. I have several and love them dearly. But, it was hard to imagine the size of this piece from the pictures and reviews. I suppose the better way to have judged this was to take out a yard stick and see the size that way, which i did not do. Should have. Once received, it was noticeably smaller than it appeared in the description images, so that size factor limited my use considerably. It did not arrive in a Porta Brace box, but wrapped in a plastic bag within the shipping box. I'm not sure yet if i'm keeping it. We'll see if there's a use for it that justifies keeping it instead of returning it, thanks to B&H's generous return policy.
