SHAPE CPVEVA Reviews
Sturdy
I use it to counterbalance the camera on my shoulder. The cable is long enough to keep from interfering with my set up. Had to swap the V-Mount for a Gold mount plate, but the switch was no problem. Connected my wireless transmitter on the other side of the v-mount plate.
Cannot be tilted!
I bought this for my Sony PXW FS5. This mount is very sturdy, but it cannot be tilted! The battery can only be mounted vertical on the rails. I could not see that from the photos. It looked like the clamp screw would also allow the battery plate to be tilted back over the shoulder pad or horizontally over the rails, out of the way. In its vertical position it completely blocks the viewfinder, making it pretty useless. I'll either need to modify it or find a better one.
