Techart PRO 6900527095463 Reviews
I don't recommend this brand, horrible customer service. My adaptor stoped working after a period of time, I updated the firmware but not working. Emailed the Techart support team and never get back to me. I made a mistake investing in 500$ What's a shame
Will not focus between F/1.4 and F/8 with the Sigma 105mm F/1.4
Needs firmware update for GFX 100.
The adapter needs a firmware update for compatibility with the built in image stabilization. Handheld or on a tripod with the camera's IS will result in blurry images. The adapter also relays the wrong focal length in the metadata on my 11-24mm which I assumes causes problems with lens profile in Lightroom. Otherwise, the adapter works fine with my tilt shift lenses (17,24,50). The last update was in June of 2018 so not very hopefully on them to resolve this anytime soon.
It doesn't work with GFX 100 and will only autofocus with Canon 85mm 1.2 and 135 2.0 on GFX 50R. There's no option for concistent manual focusing with these lenses, somehow even if the lenses and camera are set to MF the adapter causes a focus change. It does work on 50R with 50, 24, and 17 Tse lenses since they are manual focus.
Like the Girl with the Curl
This autofocus adapter is a great idea. Shame about the execution. It will probably be good one day. Just not yet. Tried emailing Techart with a query on their website. No reply at all. Tried again. Zip. Ordered the adapter from B&H and it worked. Once. Literally. Updating firmware made no difference. So I sent it back. This time, the second Techart unit actually worked several times (as in, it locked focus 6 times out of around 50 focus attempts). Bottom line, if you want what this adapter can do, be patient. It's firmware is just not solid yet. There's no information in the box (it's on their site) and it's pretty sparse. As I only have one Canon lens, I'll try it on another before sending it back. But, it hasn't been a positive experience. If I were you, I'd take the glowing reviews with a grain of salt. Of course, you could get lucky (but don't hold your breath). Caveat emptor!
Hasnt worked since purchasing
Bought this adapter a while back, when it first came out. It has never worked. Updated the latest firmware, update GFX firmware. Tried different sequence of attachment, nothing worked. Wrote several times to Techart and no reply. You could say very poor service. So I have bought a junk of metal. I now use the Kipon EF GFX which works well, but disappointed I had to get another adapter since this Techart one didnt work.
Worst item I've ever purchased for photography
My copy randomly caused my GFX 100 to malfunction. I was on a remote shoot and ripped out the electronics to use as a dumb adapter. It revealed sloppy soldering thus shorting out the lens contacts.
techart adapter for fuji gfx
I bought this adapter because all the reviews were good, but one thing was not .. it's the long-term test, it's been 15 months that I have this product, and overnight it stopped working normally I updated it but, nothing helps .. and the best thing is that I contacted techart, and they are not responding. and find out that there is no one in the world to repair their product. in short, a ring at 500 dolls, for a year + of shooting, it's expensive .. it will serve as an ashtray now, because no one can repair it, I am very angry .
