Still getting used to it, but I had to add a tacky tape to the thumb side. Due to the slippery coating, there were control issues. The tack fixed that. Also, in the left flipped position, it was in the way when I needed the viewfinder and auto exposure lock. Still it gives better balance feel for my relatively large hand plus the sony 18-105mm f/4 lens.

Great little piece of kit for those with big hands and thumb issues. I had to import from New York to the U.K. so it took a week or so to get here but for me it was worth the wait. I passed up on the cheap auction site grips as they dont hinge like the FotodioX does and the Sony original at around $200 prompted what little hair i have left too almost fall out.

When using the The SmallRig cage for the A6000 camera, the space above the hot shoe is too small to use the FotodioX Pro Thumb Grip Type-E.

Will we still be able to use the hot shoe to place other accessories? E.g. a bubble level, or a mic.

Hi,This thumb grip also has another hot shoe built in.Located right atop the original.It is just a holder, no elec. contact, but fine for a level, etc.The whole thing is metal and pretty well made.The thumb grip is long and high.I use it on my Fuji X100F.Only criticism is it pivots easily and also comes off easily.I like it better than a lot of other thumb grips, especially those made especially for the Fuji.
