Product description says "A 15mm rod can fit through the handle." When inserted into the handle, is there a way to fasten the rod so that it does not slip out?

Several 1/4 20" screws may be inserted (if long enough) into the threads and these can secure the rod in place, although depending on the rod material, you may be risking denting.
