Designed for the outdoor enthusiast or sightseer who is constantly on the move, Minox's 10x25 BV Binoculars have an ergonomic form factor that makes them comfortable in your hand while providing the performance needed for picking out architectural details, hiking, or birding. To offset the limited light-gathering ability of the objectives and increase image brightness, Minox phase-corrected the roof prisms and treated the optics with their proprietary M* anti-reflection coatings. These produce high-contrast images with neutral color rendition so colors appear more true and natural.

To help reduce weight – and therefore user fatigue – without sacrificing strength, Minox employed an open-bridge/dual-hinge configuration. This also provides a full-handed grip that helps maintain control in cold and wet conditions. The chassis is made of a strong and durable polycarbonate material, and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled to make them water and fogproof, allowing them to handle extreme temperature and weather conditions. Weighing in at just 13 ounces, the BV is light enough to hold and use one-handed, and small enough to easily fit in a pocket, pack, or purse.

Optical Performance

  • 10x magnification allows for detailed observations of distant subjects
  • Compact 25mm objective lenses ensure slim optical tubes to maintain a compact form factor
  • Roof prism light path keeps the optical tubes thin for easy handling and packing
  • Phase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal interference to improve contrast, clarity, and resolution
  • Proprietary M* anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics for brighter images, improved contrast, and neutral color rendition
  • Wide 60° apparent angle of view offers a spacious field of view to offset the appearance of hand shake and provide an immersive observational experience
  • 315' field of view at 1000 yards

Use and Handling

  • Open-bridge/dual-hinge configuration reduces weight without sacrificing strength or stability
  • Large slip-resistant center focusing knob is easy to manipulate, even in cold or wet weather or while wearing gloves
  • ±4 right-eye dioptric correction enables users to compensate for optical prescriptions for crisper and sharper views
  • Twist-up/click-stop rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • Comfortable 15mm eye relief allows for more easy viewing with reduced eye strain
  • 2.5mm exit pupil

Construction Details

  • Bridge/hinge design provides more surface area for hands to improve grip security
  • Lightweight and impact-resistant polycarbonate chassis
  • Chassis material is temperature resistant, preventing the expansion and contraction that is common with metal, which can cause the optical components to move out of alignment over time and prevent sharp focus
  • Protective rubber armoring provides a slip-resistant grip
  • Nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and submersible to 16' (5m), and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions
  • Broad 14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C) operating temperature
  • Weight: 13 ounces

question

Where was Minox 10x44 BV made ? Thank you

question

are ocular and objective lens covers available for this binocular?
Asked by: Anonymous
I haven't found any yet but I'm disappointed that MINOX did not include factory lens covers (eye piece or objective lens) given the higher price tag. Even value binoculars brand BARSKA includes lens covers on their $60 binoculars. Let me know if ever find some. Thanks for the question.

The only label is the manufacturer's name and location (Germany). MINOX has always been outstanding construction and these are excellent. Highly recommended.
