Monitor your front door with the Hello Video Doorbell from Nest. Access video on your iOS or Android mobile device from anywhere with an internet connection and Wi-Fi via the free Nest app.

When attached to your existing hardwired doorbell, this dual-band Wi-Fi device captures 1600 x 1200 resolution video at up to 30 fps. It features night vision functionality and a 160° diagonal field of view. Additionally, the 4:3 aspect ratio enables you to see people at your front door from head to toe. Two-way audio communication allows you to interact with visitors, while noise and echo cancellation ensure that communication is clear. H.264 video compression manages file sizes while maintaining quality. This video doorbell is IPX4-rated for water resistance.

Note: A wired doorbell, chime, and a 10 VA transformer are required to use this device. Professional installation is recommended.

hello.. I have installed Nest Doorbell without ...

hello.. I have installed Nest Doorbell without Chime but it is connected to Google Home hub. It seems to be working ! is there anyway to reduce the volume or turnoff the chime sound within Nest doorbell when pressed ? its loud during nights..please advise.

In the Nest doorbell app there is a setting to turn off the chime sound.

It can but you don't get the cloud video recording/face recognition features and you can only view live video and still images.

The first 30 days is free then a subscription is available to use Nest Aware and save recorded video video. Without a subscription, only live video and photos may be viewed.

We are buying a newly built house with a doorbell. Can we just replace it with the Nest Hello? Can my husband install or do we need an electrician?

As long as the existing transformer falls between the specification of 16 to 24 VAC; 10 VA then you can just replace the unit. They designed this unit to be relatively easy to install but it is recommended to bring an installer.

Can the door bell be plugged in to a third party external lcd screen? My current door bell provides a wall mounted 7 inch lcd screen, would be nice to have it plugged there.
