Featuring a slim design, this 28mm f/2.8 Lens from Opteka is a Sony E-mount prime offering a 42mm equivalent focal length. The modest f/2.8 maximum aperture promotes a thinner, pancake-like form factor that is ideal for travel and everyday use. Its optical design incorporates one super-low dispersion element to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations while an HD anti-reflection coating has been applied to suppress ghosting and flare for increased contrast. Additionally, the lens sports a manual focus design and its manual aperture ring has been de-clicked for smooth, silent aperture transitions.

Opteka 28mm f/2.8 Reviews
surprisingly good
This lens is sharp with good color. Works well with my xe3. I bought it as a place holder until I could afford a better lens but I see no reason to replace it.
first impression
Good finishes, I am satisfied with the product.
It Depends
I'm sure this is fine for most M43 cameras but using one on a EZCAM E1 was problematic. Not having a EVF or optical viewfinder on that camera made it difficult to find focus. The Lens was hard to dial in just right. Hope to try it on my Lumix cameras soon.
not bad for the price
i cannot complain for the price the focus ring is a bit stiff at both ends of the range but it is clear and good enough for quick shots out of my pockets
Very clean and clear imaging
Excellent optics for the price. I am happy to pay a few dollars more for the super low dispersion element to be found somewhere in the optical design of this lens compared to visually identical lenses from Meike. Clickless aperture ring is not my favorite, and this one is quite smooth but not held tightly, so I have to keep an eye on it while shooting to be sure it remains where I want it to be. Also, the focus ring has a little rough spot on it somewhere, but that's all ok because the optics are great.
Bonne conception
Objectif avec une qualit de fabrication surprenant pour le prix, qualit images bonne. Je suis satisfait.
