    Novoflex MBAL-PRO75 Reviews

MagicBalance 75mm Leveling Head for TRIOPOD-PRO75 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you need a leveling base, this is the one. I have tried the RRS leveling base, the TA3 and their Universal model. I could never get them tight enough to keep from slipping once a tripod head and DSLR was put on top of either. It did not take much effort to induce slippage. It takes much more deliberate effort to make this one move with the same equipment on top of it. More than I would encounter in normal use. This one also is much easier to move, adjust and tighten compared to the RRS universal base with the wings (I do prefer the RRS model with the handle for adjusting). The one thing that I do not like is the adjusting lever/lock is not captive. If it is loosened enough, it will fall out. Physically, it does fit into the top of a RRS tripod with a 75mm hole, but the adjustment lever/lock is in the same space as the tripod apex/spider and too much material would have to be drilled out.  It attaches to the top of the tripod just fine, though. It has 3/8 inch holes with removable 3/8 to 1/4 reducing bushings installed.
