Styled in an open pore natural finish, the PNB14E from Ibanez is a parlor-sized acoustic/electric bass with an okoume top, back, and sides. The body delivers a balanced acoustic sound. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band. The use of okoume lends a beautiful, woody timbre to the instrument, particularly resonant in the lows and highs.
The maple neck offers an 18-fret laurel fingerboard. Other features include a laurel bridge, ivory body binding, and chrome die-cast tuners. For electronics, the bass is equipped with an Ibanez undersaddle pickup as well as an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with a 2-band EQ.
