Wacom Intuos Reviews

Not Mac Compatible

I cannot get this to work with my Mac (macOS Monterey V. 12.5). I am sure something needs to be fixed by Wacom in the software. It is frustrating and I have researched and done all the tricks in order to make it work, but it won't. It sits on my shelf and collects dust. A $40 paperweight.

Nice small tablet that helps to make photo editing more precise. I just got started with it and love it so far, I'm thinking it will get more handy as I learn how to use it better.

Just OK

Been using these tablets in varying shapes and sizes for a very long time. However it has become clear that Wacom technology is quickly being left in the dust compared the the superior fidelity of the Apple Pencil fidelity. My first use case with the tablet was heavy photoshop re-touching, and the constant lag/twitching/jumping is just annoying enough to make me not want to use it for an extended time. Found my hand getting super cramped trying to do that find work. It's probably OK for broader strokes or illustration. Also compared to the tip feel of an Apple Pencil, it's scratchy and harsh. Cheap enough to not return for the occasional use, but definitely inferior to better options out there.

I forgot to bring my wacom intuos pro and bought this $50 alternative. Did the job. Light and small. Great for travel.

Not as good as my old tablet

Upgraded to MacOS 12.2 (Monterey) and could not get a driver for my old Wacom tablet (Intuous3 PTZ431W) that was compatible with the OS, so I bought the new tablet. It's smaller than my old tablet and lacks the convenient hand rest, but the main aggravation is that the driver does not take control of the cursor until after I login. That was not the case with my old tablet. I did not have to use the mouse at all with that one. So as long as I have to connect the mouse to login I decided to leave it connected and the tablet will not see much use.

Great little tablet

This is the first tablet that I have used and I'm very happy with it. I have been using in for added precision while editing in photoshop and I have not been disappointed. The software for the tablet is easy to install and it was easy to adjust my preferences to suit how I utilize the tablet with dual monitors. Only downfall I can see is that it may be a little in the small side for those wanting a tablet for art or drawing. Overall though I recommend this tablet; especially for those who have never used a tablet before for editing or it's also a great option for travel given its small and portable size.

Photo editing made easy

I picked one of these up for a few reasons, while editing Real estate photography and drawing in PS. The tablet takes a little bit of getting use to at first, but after about a week it becomes a little more second nature. Having the pressure sensitive pen is nice for painting in exposure, using the brush tool with a layer mask and blending 2 images, Etc.

I don't think any tablet - Bluetooth or wired - will work with Chrome OS. There are no drivers for that Chrome OS.

In the review by Saam, he/she says you cannot connect by bluetooth both a mouse and a Wacom Intuos. Can you connect by bluetooth both a Wacom and a keyboard?
Asked by: Stanley
You can use a Wacom tablet, a mouse and a keyboard all via bluetooth. The important part is to not leave your pen on the Wacom surface when using the mouse as this can conflict with the mouse input.

Will this tablet work with a Mac With M1 Chip?
Asked by: Serge
I paired the wacom Intuos Bluetooth tablet with MacMini with M1. After downloading the wacom software, and unplugging the USB, it paired with Bluetooth. Make sure you unpair it with other computers first. One new thing on MacOS, you can turn on/off the bluetooth device in the Bluetooth preferences, without forgeting the sevice.
